Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this f***in year..... That would be a big blow to sports MLB is good but on thin ice if they don't start until June and NBA being done would put NHL off the floor as well

It's the right thing to do. NBA and NHL both should shut down until the fall.

That only makes sense if the NBA is predicting they wonβt be able to start by July at the latest. As I said previously, anything after July is going to mess up the following season so there will be a point where continuing this season will have diminishing returns. They might be anticipating that.

I've yet to hear one good reason why the NBA can't just start the playoffs in a centralized location (Las Vegas has been floated) starting on June 1, in a best-of-three or best-of-five series, wrapping up by July 1. It could easily be done, without fans in attendance.

I know it's not the most positive thing to discuss but can we talk about the 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame class?
Major props for Tamika Catchings.

As I said previously, anything after July is going to mess up the following season so there will be a point where continuing this season will have diminishing returns. They might be anticipating that. The problem with that is that we're like 80% done with this season. Next season has SO long to go to get to this point, as weird and as sad as that sounds. We haven't developed a cure, and that would be 16-18 months away if so. Next season is one Gobert test away from shutting down again, and it's incredibly likely that it would happen way before 80% of the season woud be through. We have to get through training camp, the short preseason, and then 5 1/3 months of play to get to where we are now in a large sample size and standings to put towards a playoff picture. As much as I want to be optimistic toward a full next season, it seems crazy to me to throw away so much of a season in order to put all these eggs in next season's basket with the amount of uncretainty we're looking at.

Dumb as hell. Nowhere close to the real athletic competition we crave. I mean, yeah I'mma watch it. But still.

"Stephen A, what does LeBron losing at H-O-R-S-E to JJ Redick say about his legacy?"
Yeah, that doesn't sound like a fun idea at all. I mean, the NBA is great at marketing and their players have a ton of personality, so maybe they can make it work somehow, but I don't see the appeal of this one bit, and I'm missing basketball as much as anyone.
Honestly, the one industry that is blowing up nowadays is ESports. NBA, MLB, NHL, etc, need to team up with a ESports company and find a way to get content out that way. Can't imagine any other option that involves social distancing will work.

I want to see every team put together a Euchre Pair and we get a giant online Euchre tournament. And give ESPN and TNT teams too. Hell bring in a bunch of old NBA players too.
Shaq and Barkley playing Euchre against Magic and Bird would pull 10 million viewers easy.

Eh, I get it. KG poured everything he had into Minny and didn't want to leave. If he feels somebody didn't do right by him, that's fair.

My problem is KG stay in his feelings It was going to be mutually beneficial for both sides with KG getting a minority stake but sadly Saunders passed away and everything just went sideways If this was baseball and he had to pick a jersey to go in with, it no doubt should be Minnesota.

They screwed him over so I don't blame him for taking it out on them.
