It wouldn’t be at all a bad route to go in.

Whether Wolverines there at the beginning or they hold up, I do expect MCU to show more restraint with the character than FOX did. And I’m not faulting FOX because $$$$ and Jackmans Star presence, but with their M.O showing more loyalty to the comics portrayal of characters, yeah, I expect some reserve with the character.

I'd love to see McAvoy and Fassbender folded into the universe, but it's still a tough sell with Erik still being alive during the Holocaust and shaped by that. Especially if all of the X-Men movies would be taking place in modern times, by all accounts. As fun as some of the X-Men prequel movies were, they really messed with the timeline with making Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. They may have to do some timey wimeyness to make it work, or they may just not have Erik and Charles in future iterations, because I really can't imagine anyone else fitting the bill.

As was said before you can still bring in McAvoy and Fassbender but just don't continue the previous incarnations they were like how they are doing with Jameson

In theory they are still playing that character but their previous performance is sort of erased

That’s a big difference. Jameson hadn’t been seen in a movie since 2007 a year before the MCU even started. Heck there was a whole another Spider-Man between the Tobey films and the MCU. Jameson will get screen time sure but he won’t be the main factors in the film.

Where McAvoy and Fassbender the last film in their series literally came out last year. I thought they did incredible, but it’s a much bigger connection to say same guys different universe.

Where as Deadpool they just need to make a 4th wall joke.

Yea but it’s still doable. That same 4th wall joke could be made by Deadpool on behalf of X-Men. As long as you give us an audience some type of wink or nod we are willing to accept it
