KO division in Impact has recovered nicely from the days when it was the Gail Kim Vanity Division. It has a solid roster of talent. Though TBH I have no idea how Dashwood actually is as a wrestler. I haven't seen any of her matches since she left WWE and it's not like she was booked well at all there. She was pretty solid before WWE.

Dashwood is a huge get for them considering how irrelevant Impact has become.
Given that they had an intergender match main event a PPV this year I wouldn’t be shocked if Dashwood signed in part because of something like a guaranteed title reign with the main title (not just the woman’s title).
Since Impact wants to be back on a good TV channel (I’m not sure where the AXS thing stands) it could be a bold (not necessarily good) move to get press for the company.
In 2019 a woman has still never had a lengthy run with the top belt of any major promotion unless I’m forgetting something. The intergender thing will turn off some stations/fans, but I could see it getting some press.

I'm very happy with this news!
Impact's women's division is incredibly strong at the moment, and they've been some of my favorite matches on the shows.
Signing one of my favorites is a huge bonus for me as well.
Glad she's out of ROH, and in a promotion that will actually showcase her. Now we just need to get Dana Brooke to Impact and reform that amazing duo.

Good move for her. The contract us unlikely to be super long, it'll give her time to see how things go for the women's wrestlers in AEW and ensure she's not lost in the shuffle there early on when they have to establish a roster of named to a wider audience.
ROH really do need a change of booker and management at this point. It's one thing to be outspent for talent by AEW or the WWE, but when impact is seen as greener pastures, you've got problems.

The Knockouts division is actually doing okay again now, so this is better for her than being in a random stable of faces or losing constantly to The Allure.

Man, who would have thought they'd ever see the day when leaving ROH for Impact would be looked at as a positive career move? Things are crazy. Add in the fact that a major promotion is being started by Generation Me, Stardust, and john jacob jingleheimer schmidt. Cats and dogs living together. Its madness!

Because the universe is weird and the promotion that could keeps coulding they seem to get one semi-good to good get every 6 months or so.

What is her character these days? And what is the likelihood that she keeps that character for Impact?

Kind of makes me wonder when Dana's contract is up as I would have to imagine it has to be somewhat soon as I think she signed probably around 2013-14ish. Going by what I've heard about her she seems like an ambitious type who wouldn't be contempt reupping for five more years to slum it in catering every week, so I wouldn't be shocked to see her leave and follow Tenille to Impact or somewhere else. On the other hand though money always talks I guess so who knows.

The KO division is good but they need a couple more stars. This is a good step in that direction.

BTW, Dale Oliver (or whoever does the musics for Impact nowadays) better already be getting to work on a theme that sounds like this, but is somehow even more universally disliked by wrestling fans.

Good signing on both ends. Bit of a surprise she’s not going to AEW though.

Huh. Good signing for Impact, but not sure why she’d wanna be under contract to them. I’d be working on short term deals for anything I did with Impact, at least having a decently known name like her. Maybe it's a visa/immigration thing, and being under contract means she can stay in the US? (Total speculation - I don't know how the system works for indie wrestlers who aren't citizens).

Per this video from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Britt Baker outed that Tenille Dashwood is on a per appearance deal with Impact, which is why she was allowed to appear in the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out. Ross Sapp revealed that her appearance deals will go up until Bound For Glory, but might not last beyond then, maybe opening up the door for her to go to AEW after that.

Personally, I think she needs to prove she can remain healthy before any company would commit to her long term.

Personally, I think she needs to prove she can remain healthy before any company would commit to her long term. I can see that being the main reason why Impact only signed her to a per appearance deal. With her illness and how often she gets injured I could see why companies would be leary of signing her to anything long term when going by history chances are she's going to be on the sidelines a lot and not being productive. At least on a per appearance deal if she gets injured you can just stop booking her and not have to pay her. Putting her in a tag team would be a good solution preferably with someone who is more durable and can take most of the bumps (similar to how WWE is using Alexa Bliss in her team with Nikki Cross right now) however other then WWE there really isn't any other promotion that I know of that has a women's tag division. Then there's also the possibility of her having a bad flareup with her skin condition which there's really no way around regardless of how much you try to reduce her bump card.
