We venture deeper into 2011 with the Seventh of Eight lists. Vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

Red State was great. I just found out about it a couple years ago. Severely underrated movie.

RED STATE is the only film I've seen from this list, so I'm voting for it. It's a weird movie, turning from teen comedy at the start into horror in the middle and then switching to an action movie for the end. It's an interesting movie, though hard for me to say that I out-and-out liked it. *shrug*

About an hour and a half left, and Red State is kicking butt and taking names so far.

We have our first tie of the 2010's, as both Red State and Silent House will go on to the next round. I've never seen any of the movies on this list, but I voted Red State, as it looked the most intriguing to me. I've not actually seen any of Kevin Smith's horror related movies, but I might have to rectify that one day. I've never seen Silent House, but it must be decent, as it dark horsed it to a tie very quickly.
