Kross shouldn't have tried to f*** them over. He's an idiot for not reading through the contract and he is terrible at managing money. He doesn't do many independents and takes regular trips to Thailand (which isn't cheap) Scarlett f***ed over ROH before too, doing a WWE dark match whilst under an ROH deal. Even more dumber is that she's hired KM as her booking agent (lol, that must cost a lot). Kross is being made an example of, he's going to be iced out for trying to f*** over a promoter. Wrestlers aren't totally innocent. I'm on the companies side in this one. As for Impact paying for hotels, its a sign of growth. Their merch sales and live attendances have gone up quite dramatically, they are once again outdrawing Ring of Honor.
Soooooo, fire the guy, then? If he sucks so much, get rid of him.

Thats what he wants. Plus I never said he sucked as a talent. When it comes to business, he's bad. Why should they? they don't have to? As said before, they're making an example of him, just because Impact offer all the freedoms and perks, doesn't mean you try and take advantage of that. Kross is being taught a lesson. Who knows, they might cook up something with him and Shamrock. Wrestlers can be just as much carny as promoters.

It's a real noble gesture, but when did impact get the money to do this? "Great news everybody! Impact will now be paying hotel costs! "YAY!" "Oh, and in totally not related news, pay for tapings and events will now be $150 less." Wouldn't surprise me. *shrug*

Didn't Kross recently resign with Impact? If so, him asking for a raise should have happened before resigning. It's likd Dak signing a $40 million dollar deal to stay with The Cowboys and then ask for a raise.

Not surprised Impact does something good and people find a way to crap on them. But hey good on Impact for doing this. The past year Impact has moved up and become my 3rd favorite fed. They got a good roster, have good matches. And all the PPVs are worth watching. Makes it easier for people just to dogpile while Impact is doing good work. TNA is long dead but the fact people still pick on Impact shows they don't see the change but the same company.

An Impact worker mentioned to me that this story is a head scratcher, because his hotel has always been paid for by the company. This may be an example of "wrestling web sites have no clue how things actually work."

The whole "teach him a lesson" thing is incredibly idiotic rationale to justify not releasing someone who clearly no longer wants to be there. Just cut your losses and move on.

The whole "teach him a lesson" thing is incredibly idiotic rationale to justify not releasing someone who clearly no longer wants to be there. Just cut your losses and move on. Or at least f***ing use the guy on television. There's no lesson being taught by telling him he made commitments only to say "No actually we're going to ignore those commitments and not pay you the amount we talked about, go home". I swear there's this weird sentiment in the pro-TNA side of this that acts like the only reasonable choice is by far the dumbest. If you don't want to pay him, make him show up anyway, at that point him doing shit or trying to actually hold the company hostage for pay would make him the bad guy. Or maybe he'd just go on working and wait out his contract, then try to push again for more money. Nobody is winning here. The company isn't actually gaining anything by punishing him in the least productive way they can punish him. It's not putting a foot down or being the hardass, it's setting money on fire and staring at everyone expecting them to be afraid. Not surprised Impact does something good and people find a way to crap on them. But hey good on Impact for doing this. The past year Impact has moved up and become my 3rd favorite fed. TNA is long dead but the fact people still pick on Impact shows they don't see the change but the same company. The only thing people are talking about that in any way approaches this like there's a problem is the key issue that pushed this into the conversation. People are saying "This is good, but this thing related to it is bad" and I'm sorry if you think nuance is for haters and that everything is in absolutes, but it's not actually doing the company or the fanbase any favours to treat any criticism at all like it's blatant hate speech.

Or maybe, just maybe, fulfill your contract before asking for a raise. And that's on him and he'll need to rebuild his professional relationships going forward. But if he isn't fulfilling the contract, that's grounds to release him from it and stop paying him outright. Impact paying him to sit at home and do nothing is petty as f*** and doesn't actually accomplish anything but making them look like spiteful idiots.
To be fair, for the longest time, acting like the most reasonable choice was the dumbest one and setting money on fire was the TNA MO. Under Anthem, they've kept that urge mostly under control but it rears its ugly head now and then.
