Based upon the random convo we had in the Alvarez thread
The first few seasons are underrated and the later ones don't fall off a cliff. The family itself is a strong cast and they have a lot of funny lines or moments that never really got the attention as other popular cartoons
Always enjoyed the running gag that the nerdy Steve Smith can actually sing his ass off

The past two seasons, 15 and 16, have been really good. Top of the Steve, Rabbit Ears, Stompe Le Monde are three stand outs. AD started leaning more into the weird and it's been great.

Though it's after my, "The show should have been cancelled by now," point, one of my favorite episodes is Adventures in Hayleysitting. That whole episode just makes me crack up and is super quotable.

I watched it when it started and it was alright. Seeing the later seasons the last few years, I really appreciate it for its subversion of jokes and just being able to enjoy it on a commitment-free basis.

Haven’t seen too much of the new episodes, but this show is great. Deserves all the appreciation.

Liked the early seasons. Show has been unwatchable since the episode with the talking hot tub.

I loved the first however many seasons, but it’s just not as good on TBS. They do a lot more gross out stuff now and edgy for the sake of being edgy nonsense.
But yeah. Up until 2015ish, it was a great show. Definitely started liking it more than Family Guy for a while.

I still think it's great however I hate Roger so much that I've never been able to get into it the way I was with Family Guy.

Honestly, this is easily my favorite of the three Sethtoons. It’s got edgy humor but it feels more fun, and doesn’t come off as obsessed with shock value as Family Guy will sometimes fall too often into.

I really like that it never turned into a Family Guy clone, which could've happened so easily. It's actually stood on its own two feet all these years.

Or Seth using it as a vehicle to be preachy like he did with Family Guy and more specifically Brian as a character

I think seasons 4-6 were my favorites, but I pretty much stopped following the show around season 8, so not sure how it's been since then. The show occasionally has the bad habit of going off on pointless Family Guy-esque cutaways like the stupid golden turd saga, but overall it's definitely Seth's best show.

Hayley: My mother stole my boyfriend!
Stan: Your boyfriend stole my wife! Let's get back at them by dating each other!
[pause]
Stan: Wait a minute. Daddy didn't think that through.
Stan's delivery of the last line still makes me chuckle.

I think it's great and it always brings out my loud belly laugh. Steve is one of my favourite characters in all of tv.

This show earned my love for Patrick Stewart as Stan’s boss. That and the immortal “LIES! You have to lie to live! You have lie-abetes! Every morning when you wake up, you have to take a dose of insu-lying!!!”
Even as a diabetic, I love that.

Haven’t seen it since it moved off Fox.
I did enjoy it, though.

The Steve/Sinbad episode was also really funny with oh course Roger being involved somehow in shit going wrong in regards to cheating on the emperor
