the main cast of Rob Thomas show Party Down included 1 Veronica Mars regular, 1 recurring and 3 that where guests (and one who went onto appear in the Veronica Mars movie)
guests actor who also appeared on Veronica Mars included Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Alona Tal, and Kristen Bell among many others.
I imagine there is a lot that could have happened like this because the showrunner becomes attached to some of the actors.
There is probably a bunch of sketch comedy show to sitcom examples (Ken Marino and Bill Hader among others popping up in Brooklyn Nine Nine)

The Ranch is more or less a big That 70's show reunion.

I just remembered one. Tracey Ullman played the obedience school instructor in that episode of The Simpsons called "Barts Dog Gets an F." Remember, The Simpsons were originally shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show.

Of all the places the movie “The Post” a serious drama based on The Washington’s Post coverage of leaked Vietnam documents... features a Mr Show mini reunion (just the two main stars Bob Odenkirk and David Cross)

Hot In Cleveland had all sorts of people from all of the women's shows show up as guest/recurring characters. John Mahoney and Peri Gilpin from Frasier, Bonnie Franklin from One Day At A Time, Laura San Giacomo from Just Shoot Me and a bunch of the women from The Mary Tyler Moore Show, including MTM herself. There was a bunch more, too. It was always neat, especially since the main cast's collective resumes allowed to have little pop-ins from so many shows. Came in to say that. The latter is sadder as now only Betty and Cloris are left from that reunion. Which reminds me.... didn't Valerie Harper voice someone in a Simpsons episode?

The Simpsons did this with Sideshow Bob. Bob's brother was played by David Hyde Pierce (Niles in Frasier) while his dad was played by John Mahoney (Martin in Frasier). They also wanted a character named Maris. The Fraiser people wouldn’t let them. The Fraiser people said “We don’t see Maris”. The Simpsons said “But that’s not Maris” Fraiser said “Well of course it is.” She got name checked anyway.

Coach had an episode where Luther went to his family reunion, and Dick Van Dyke walked across the screen, his real life brother, and also played Rob's brother on the Dick Van Dyke show.

Enrico Colantoni was in a few episodes as an underhanded cop in season 2 and I think one episode of season 3. Jason Dohring was a major recurring character in the third and fourth seasons. Percy Daggs III was the killer of the week in a first season episode, while Ryan Hansen played a minor character who revealed a major plot point for a later episode. Daran Norris popped up several times as a newscaster, while Ken Marino played a crooked lawyer in a couple of episodes. And they got Kristen Bell to voice herself reading a book-on-tape of an erotic romance novel. Also, I have to mention this one, the other Rob Thomas appeared in the second season finale and was eaten by zombies. Because of course he was.

Now that you mention it, Craig T. Nelson starred in a police drama called The District back in the early 2000s. There was an episode where Jerry Van Dyke and Bill Faggerbakke appeared. It was a Coach reunion.

thought of another couple, on Veronica Mars, Charisma Carpenter and Alyson Hannigan share a scene where they snipe at each other.
some of the Friends casts show have featured their former co-stars, Cougar Town had Aniston, Kudrow and Perry, and Episodes had LeBlanc reuniting with Schwimmer in an episode.

There was also an early episode of “Episodes” when the producers of Pucks wanted Matt to get an former Friends cast member to guest star in a episode. But Matt burnt his bridge with all the other main stars and the best he could do was get the actor that played the manager of the Central Perk coffeehouse Gunther.

I remember that now you've said it, they got him to play a rival ice hockey coach and that reminds me Don't Trust the B- In Apartment 23 had a similar premise in that James Van Der Beek has burned his bridges with the Dawson's Creek cast when he wants to do some sort of reunion, only Busy Philipps agrees to meet with him to explain why the bridge was burnt (but only in secret)

Cougar Town had Aniston, Kudrow and Perry, and Episodes had LeBlanc reuniting with Schwimmer in an episode. Speaking of Cougar Town, that was full of Scrubs folks. Crista Miller and Ken Jenkins had major roles, with Bob Clendenin in a series long supporting role. A few other actors appeared too. ......and then the episode where Sam Lloyd showed up - playing Ted from Scrubs, travelling the country with his backup band from Scrubs - where the show ended with him noting that "everyone here reminds me of someone from my old job." Miller, Clendenin, Sarah Chalke who was a guest star in that episode, Zach Braff who showed up a pizza delivery guy in the scene, Robert Maschio who played The Todd on Scrubs (who may or may not have been The Todd, now a poolboy?) and of course Jenkins which caused Ted to lose his mind. ANY TIME Adam West appeared in a Batman cartoon. The Grim Ghost episode from B:TAS was just great - it felt like the moment that pop culture finally accepted/forgave Adam West's Batman after a few decades of eye-rolling in Batman 66's direction - but the appearance of his I loved was in Brave & The Bold when he and Julie Newmar were reunited......as Thomas & Martha Wayne. Not just the reunion was great, but because DC/WB FINALLY granted Adam West his wish of playing as Batman's dad, which he'd petitioned for since at least the 1980's.

I didn't get much into Smallville, though I heard how good it was later on when they started bringing in the Superman lore into it. Anyway, I remember Christopher Reeve appeared on the show. Also, later on, Dean Cain appeared on the show.

There was a Halloween episode of Felicity where Julie (Amy Jo Johnson) dressed up as The Pink Ranger for a party.

The Bob’s Burgers bit from that episode of Archer.. the weird thing is the only BB’cast member to speak other then H.Jon is John Roberts who plays Linda. The kids don’t talk during that scene.
The actors that play Gene and Louise on BB (Eugene Mirman and Kristan Schaal) would guest star together on Archer later in the season as a couple.

can't help but think of examples
Laura San Giacomo popped up in Veronica Mars as a love interest for Keith (of course both starred in Just Shoot Me), and David Spade popped up in the Goldbergs, I know him and George Segal shared a scene
somebody mentioned Fox and Lloyd reuniting on Spin City but they both also reunited on The Michael J. Fox Show (Richard Kind also popped up too)
