Yeah, I have a big time problem with this because they are playing fast and loose with it
With title matches, I can buy it and understand it but they pulled this shit in the main event too. No titles were on the line, so when Mox came in that should have been a DQ instead of letting the match continue
It was something I complained about before in one of the last PPV events and hopefully they get more in line with how they want to run this because i'm not really a fan of it with how they implement it

I always thought six man tags were no DQ or had way looser rules
Maybe considering the match just began the referee didn't want to stop it, the action continued in the ring pretty quickly after the Mox incident. Either way I'm ok with it for the moments it made

As someone who basically considers AEW my "home" promotion now, I'd have to agree with you. I was 100% puzzled by the fact that Omega was just allowed to be dragged completely out of the match by someone who was interfering. Made no sense to me.

I understand the Moxley one because I can see the logic that Jericho's team did nothing bad thenselves.
But Nyla is straight up trying to use a chair in a title much. That is too far to me.

Think they do need to explain that a bit more or try and have some kind of YT explanation (which they could still do) to make it work but if they do that, I’d have no real problem with it if they keep to it.
The chair with Nyla, I just took it as her not wanting a repeat of the triple threat so was lashing out. It didn’t quite make full sense and it might be me adding narrative that wasn’t there but that’s what I got.

I remember how the ref allowed Marko to interfere like 2 PPVs ago, kinda same thing here.

The Bucks weren't giving up the match, they didn't even go after Mox. Would have been better if maybe the ref took a bump but I think it worked

Yeah, I wasn’t a fan of that in the 6Man. I could understand it if say Cody ran in to take Kenny’s spot or the Bucks begged him to let the match keep going (which I may have miss, sorry), but just ignoring the interference and letting it drop into a handicapped match was too much.
I can see it in the title match since they were crowning the first champ and letting some stuff slide since you don’t want it decided over a dq but I think it gets over used everywhere AEW just pointed out by accident.

Would have been better if maybe the ref took a bump but I think it worked It's not about how quick the action returns too tho There are literally rules for this. The announcers did not even try to explain it. If your legal man gets taken out due to outside interference, why are you still letting the match continue when the ref is directly looking at it That is either a DQ or explain but they said nothing

This is a DQ all the time but if it is not this time then why

when Mox came in that should have been a DQ instead of letting the match continue In and out of kayfabe, AEW is a new company making its TV debut and trying to be serious competition for WWE. The ref knows that calling a DQ on the advertised main event a couple minutes in would piss off the audience and hurt the promotion, so he made the call to let the Bucks suffer through unfair odds.

The weird nature of it is that if you watch BTE Rick Knox is this ultra anal ref that does 5 counts on guys in everyday life for doing the most trivial of things. Yet he lets a blatant run in go without calling for the bell. Couldn't they just bump the ref to set up the Moxley deal and then when he gets up Omega and Mox are long gone?

The rules stay the same whether it is the 1st show or the 50th show so that's not really an explanation. Now, if someone came out and said we aren't letting our premiere end on a DQ or have the announcers explain to us it is a big show and we want to succeed it and willing to overlook that is one thing but that was not said. Nothing was said

Possibly, they already had Page slam Earl's shitty ref work on twitter, letting a dick kick go unchecked.

They should and they need to explain the rules Also with that said with referee discretion, if you're going to pull that card than you obviously should not have every ref allow extra shit to go on. You need to have a very anal ref about the rules so that way this gives this variety and when you watch the matches it adds an eye to the ref as well because of their tendencies just like a "real sport"

That would have made more sense to me than making it a handicapped match. Or hell, you got Dustin there and in full gear so let him do it. Make the run in at the end be “too out of control “ or something.

I'm thinking the best thing they could say in this is that since Omega wasn't the legal man at that moment he wasn't part of any decision the referee could have made. Had Moxley attacked one of the Bucks, that would be a different story.
