Cain has never been in great shape. That's just how he's always looked.

I know Cain is the guy who beat Brock for the title, but Overeem beat him, too. And Overeem has way, way, way more charisma than Cain ever could. Plus he has the look Vince goes for. Overeem was also on horse roids as well.

The Reem-Brock fight was so much like Ronda-Nunes where you could tell from the very first shot they took they didn't want to be in there at all.

Plus fat =/= looking out of shape. Bray and Owens?Belly sure but still have muscle? Now look at Kassius Ohno. That is just fat,no muscles to it. Look however you want to in life. In wrestling, where perception is everything, he looks like an average Joe. I know he did MMA only, but I'm not going out of my way to watch because I'm not an MMA guy, nor should you have to look outside of the wrestling bubble. I cannot use my imagination on how he could beat Brock based on his debut. I hadn't seen any of the Sheild guys wrestle before they debuted, but despite various sizes, they made a point and showed what they can do. For Owens debut, he made a statement against Cena. Guys like Owens, Wyatt hide the negative, look tough or have an interesting look and can talk well. Cain on the other hand, didn't look tough and the attack on Brock didn't grab my interest and was underwhelming despite Brock selling it well. I don't disagree with the statement tha tlooks matter in wrestling.I don't even know how Cain looks,I was just comparing the difference of body types. Not only Owens covers the gut,he also has muscular/large arms.He has a gut but e pretty muscular body Kassius look like he spent the last 3 years in the couch. Not sure where Cain falls in the scale.

He doesn’t even have a beer gut. Just because someone doesn’t have abs doesn’t mean they have a beer gut.

Internet wrestling fans: body type doesn’t matter! Wrestlers come in all shapes and sizes. I hate Vince Mcmahon’s obsession with wrestlers bodies.
Also internet wrestling fans: this thread.

Again, there is a middle ground between ULTRA BODYBUILDER OBSESSION And out of shape looking. That is a fallacy. Whether Cain is looking out of shape or not you guys can discuss over yourselves

When it is someone a certain picker of fans like, appearance doesn’t matter. When it is someone they don’t, all the sudden it does. If someone mentions Joey Janella’s beer guy, it is body shaming.

I hear his cardio's great and all and yeah he can do some cool stuff but it's just not pulling me in. You mentioned charisma and maybe that's it because I'm feeling nothing really. Even Lashley has charisma based on his look, some guys walk good, some people just speak their charisma, some have a feeling of charisma like Brock but this dude. I'm just not feeling it. It's like...a CAW. It's hard to describe but that's what comes to mind. Cain has no charisma Damn. I'll see what he's fully capable of because I'm not feeling it. Nothing against his looks either, he's just not latching onto me.

I thought wrestling was a bad fit for him just because he was a dude who got by on ability as opposed to anything else. However, if they treat him like a monster you never know. For as much as people talk about they don't care about MMA, these are usually some really good workers so he has a lot to live up to as far as ability goes Shayna, Riddle, Brock, Ronda, are your top examples of really good workers with an MMA background. They just get it. Add in others like Kurt, Gable, Jason Jordan, with wrestling backgrounds who are also good workers. These people with some type of athletic contact background are really good and he has a lot to live up to

Doubt he is going to get any sort of push on Smackdown.

You can add in a whole host of others with martial art experience like Black, ADR, Marella, Fish, KOR the list goes on

Here's the thing: when we say "body type SHOULDN'T matter, we mean the folks that have everything in the world going for them except a six pack getting pushed to the side for minimal talent body guys. Guys like Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe. What we DON'T mean is MMA has-beens that come into the WWE in the worst shape of their lives, with literally nothing going for them besides being a "legit badass" (in a company pushing demonically possessed, schizophrenic Mister Rogers as one of its major heels) and Vince's desperate fetish for the "you know wrestling is fake, right" crowd.

It's cool they're doing this, I always wanted to see them go at it in wrestling environment. - Alistair Overeem would have been cool too. - I booked this match as Lesnar's first big obstacle (after losing his belt) in EWR couple years ago. It's too bad we didn't have time to see Velasquez vs. Pentagon in AAA...

Read the thread, reply to people if you like. Don't come in, say, "nice punch bowl you have here. Shame if someone left a turd in it." and then think you're making a brilliant point. People have addressed this already.

I don't get people saying that he needs to get in shape. He has always been in great shape. Some people just don't have the genetics to look shredded.
