A hot take about hot takes(?!): Max Kellerman has achieved a level of saying outlandish hot takes that would make Stugotz wipe a tear from his eye with his (hopefully washed) sausage fingers.

A hot take about hot takes(?!): Max Kellerman has achieved a level of saying outlandish hot takes that would make Stugotz wipe a tear from his eye with his (hopefully washed) sausage fingers. Kellerman in July 2016 said Tom Brady was “just about done,” that he was “going to fall off a cliff,” and that he would be a “bum in short order.” In the three years that followed that, Brady won two Super Bowls, Super Bowl MVP, and NFL MVP, all while Kellerman doubled down and refused to walk back his comments. He’s supplanted anything Skip Bayless or Stephen A. Smith could possibly imagine in the realm of outlandish, look-at-me hot takery.

He and Nick Wright are going to be completely irrelevant once Brady actually retires. He's about 85% of their material.

The LeBron vs Jordan argument will never end given bias on both sides of it. People will like whoever they want for whatever reason they might have and, as long as that happens and people try to use subjective points to push their case, nothing will be solved in the end.

Jerry West is overrated and shouldn’t be the logo.

Kellerman's a bright guy with a wealth of sports knowledge, and he's also one of the most knowledgeable guys on boxing I've ever known. It's a shame he rarely gets to show it anymore with all the absurd hot takes he makes. Though that could also be mandated from the top, given what we know about Pitaro and co.'s preferences.

He does this shit for fun because it gets viewers

Jerry West is overrated and shouldn’t be the logo. The people saying they should change the logo to Kobe are insane. If they didn't change the logo to Jordan, they ain't changing it to Kobe. And I'm a huge fan of Bryant. And I'll make this joke again: What would Kobe's logo be? Somebody not passing or somebody shooting the ball 75 times?

Kobe is a five time champion while Jerry got his ass kicked by Boston every time he faced them. Forget about Kobe, there are older stars who deserve to be the logo over West like Wilt and Russell.

Jerry West was probably an elite player in his time but never the best. But honestly, who cares who the logo is? Tons of fans don't even know who the logo is, and it's been around long enough that it's iconic. Doesn't make sense to throw it away as some statement of overrating. The reason they call Dallas "America's Team" isn't relevant anymore, but that is also not going away anytime soon.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of fans just assume it's a generic shot of a player they cropped out/drew and not a specific player chosen to be the Logo. Hell it's almost Identical to the MLB Logo (created by the same guy) and that WAS just a generic silhouette.

Jerry West isn’t overrated he’s a legitimate all time great.
I don’t think the logo means Jerry West is the greatest ever, but it’s a good logo and has become iconic at this point

I didn't realize anyone considered West among the absolute best of all time. He was a great player but 1-8 in the Finals is pretty bad. Not sure when the Lakers were the better team during that time period however. Maybe 1969 in Russell's last year? I guess Lakers/Knicks in 1973 was a toss up (Knicks were 14 games better in 1970). But from 1962-68 I can't think of a single time the Lakers would have seriously beaten the Celtics. Great GM though.
I think Kobe is actually pretty overrated. He got 3 rings playing Robin to Shaq's Batman, then the Lakers were lame during the time when Kobe was the unquestioned feature star. Really if West hadn't gifted them Pau Gasol I seriously doubt they would have ever won anything again until the recent LeBron/Davis team (which is to be decided). Gasol led the Lakers in win shares during the 2009, 2010, and 2011 seasons.

Win Shares and Sabermetric stats are overrated qualities that do not tell the true story of the game Daryl Morey is crying in the corner. He has made millions on that crock of shit lol No f***ing shit if I take more 3's then i'll have a better chance of winning the game by virtue of outscoring the opponent. You know, the whole point of the game

Dior who designed it specifically said that it was not based on anyone... and was designed off of several references pictures and specifically designed to hide as many defining features as possible (like if the batter is left or right handed)
