Which would you keep? I'm guessing that Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble would be on just about everyones lists, but what about the rest? Would you keep Summerslam and Survivor Series, and what about the others? Mine would probably go-
January: Royal Rumble
April: Wrestlemania
June: King of the Ring
August: Summerslam
October: War Games
December: Starrcade
So yeah, I would definitely replace Survivor Series with War Games. That way you could still do the stupid Brand Warfare thing that they've been pushing for the last 4 years, but this way you could condense it into two matches, instead of stuffing the entire card with triple-threat matches like they did this year. Just put all the mens champions from each brand on a team and let them fight it out in the double cage, and the female champs can pick whoever they want for their match, I guess. It would have to be more exciting than seeing another elimination tag match where teammates invariably screw each other over and fan favorites get eliminated in the first five minutes of the match.
Also, make winning the KotR mean something. Give the winner a title shot at Summerslam, or any match of his choosing against an opponent of his choosing, or something. At the very least, stop giving the winner a stupid royalty gimmick, it's been done to death.
This set-up would also erase the over-saturation of gimmicked PPVs like Elimination Chamber, Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, and TLC. Those types of matches should be used for when a storyline or feud actually calls for them, not just because it's a certain month of the year. Put the MitB matches back on Wrestlemania, or get rid of them entirely since it's a dated concept that doesn't really hold the same level of intrigue that it once did.
Lastly, I want Starrcade to be treated as an actual PPV instead of some throwaway house show that nobody even bothers to talk about.
