How long until AA attacks Cody? Anyway I think AA will be there just as the occasional situation for storyline sakes,it seems(from the announcement of him being head coach) his main role is backstage. The head coach part is just kayfabe, as it is for Blanchard/Spears. He won't be doing any actual coaching. I'm not really into it. Spinebusters aside, I can't think of anything dramatic I need to see Arn doing in 2019, and AEW doesn't need to saddle their stars with old dudes in the name of realism. The best take IMO is if Arn and Tully turn on Cody and Spears, we get some upgraded version of the Horsemen(with MJF, Wardlow being the main focus), we would also get Spears getting a redemption Arc and reforming his friendship with Cody, done right it would be good.

Makes sense; between Arn and Ole the Andersons have always had known to be trustworthy allies to the Rhodes family. Sting: I'd do it! *Gives social security number to Nigerian prince*

But yeah, hopefully he's not in a traditional managerial role. Cody is firing on all cylinders, he doesn't need it at all.

Eh, I have faith in the company. Sure there'll be a reason for it once we get shows again. Probably play out in storylines and training montages. Though, this gives me pause in the fact that some how this'll lead to him getting his shot at the title again. Not sure how, but I figure there must be a reason why he'd need a trainer/advisor on Arn's level.

More unnecessary storylines for Cody.

On the one hand, Cody doesn't really need a manager, considering that he's one of the best promo guys in the company. On the other, though, it makes sense considering they've been playing up that Cody doesn't have anyone in his corner right now, and he'll need some sort of equalizer for Wardlow when he fights MJF. My question is, will this move MJF to seek the services of Tully and Spears in response?

Here’s hoping Cody will listen to Arn so he doesn’t meet the same fate that Sheamus did.

Due to trademarks, he will now be known as Marn Manderson.

If Naitch joins AEW, and with Malenko being a producer, what if each of the former horsemen get a protégée? It would be a good way to elevate some young talent.

I'd rather they not give Naitch more time on TV then he needs In regards to Malenko, i'd actually want him as a commissioner if AEW went that route. A man of few words and you know when he comes around it means business like with Regal when he comes on screen

The title of the thread is wrong: It's how long till Arn Anderson gives Cody Rhodes a Spinebuster? Yeah.... i mean Arn turning on Cody was the first thing I thought of when I saw this. Maybe that's why they won't do it.

I like the idea of Arn as a manager, but I would have waited and put him with the Revival, assuming they're still planning to make the jump.

Arn got the job based on his average looks and average skills.

I think Arn Anderson will work best in roles where he's around to back up Cody. Cody's a fine talker on his own and certainly doesn't need Arn Anderson to speak for him, but Cody's been getting in a lot of feuds lately where interference is almost a given. Between Jericho (at least one member of the Inner Circle), MJF (Wardlow), Blade & Butcher, or Shawn Spears (Tully), he needs someone to have his back. Other members of the Elite can't do it because they have their own matches to worry about, Brandi's separated herself from her husband on-screen, and DDP wants to be a freelancer. And even at 61, Arn Anderson has a real tough guy presence to him.
I do hope that he also takes on a backstage role because until the Alicia Fox incident he was one of the best producers WWE had.

Arn is super hot with the key 18-34 demo, so this is a great get. And as a bonus, he still looks the same as he did 35 years ago, so there’s a chance someone might stop by and be tricked into thinking they’re watching Crockett.
Also they can book Arn vs Tosh for DoN2.

I feel like the amount of stuff/people in Cody's orbit is getting a bit too much tbh. Like, it's just kinda difficult to keep up.
