So basically, Cody is offering Arn a spot on AEW.

I don't like it because I've never been a fan of face's having managers. Being a face manager you're limited in what you can do. You can't cheat, interfere. Maybe just even up the odds from time to time. And plus I don't think Cody needs a manager. It would work a little better if Cody was suffering a crisis of confidence and Arn was there to build him up But in his own words he said 2019 was his best year. You want to be the best you can be so you bring in Arn coming off your best year is a little backwards. This is what annoys me the most about AEW. They get a lot of things right (turning the Dark Order around) but then they don't get basic storytelling. From this to the tag division being smothered by boring SCU, to the women's division being smothered by poor planning, it's really irritating they think "watching BTE" and "great rasslin'" is enough. Especially when some of it is that "devoid of common sense" mentality that Vince has. Why not do this when he was feuding with Spears? Why not make the Spears thing an actual long feud that let Spears win the first match (which was his first match with Tully in his corner and HE LOST and still hasn't recovered/made Tully look meaningless), then Cody suffers a crisis of confidence, and THEN Arn comes in. Like, at this point it feels like they're just throwing darts at a dart board with post-it notes on it and that's what they're going to do. Next we'll be seeing Brandi starting her own Dark Order, and Orange Cassidy in a Turkey costum.....oh wait...nvm.

I'm rapidly growing sick to death of Cody. The stupid no challenging for the belt thing means at the moment he's basically useless as a character, but he has multiple feuds going at once and his character has every bell and whistle imaginable. It's getting really f***ing insufferable.

It's getting really f***ing insufferable. My biggest complain about Cody early on was he basically sucking his own dick in the ring. He got the only promos on the show, the video packages no one else got, special mentions with limo rides and all that and it was a bit warranted because he was the top babyface in a world title program He's slowed down a bit but his character is doing a little too much. Yes, they connected BBB to MJF but we all know him and MJF should be going at it. Both those guys seem to be stuck in a bit of a pattern because they have a good long wait to the PPV and the build probably wasn't going to be able to last that long but then again it is not like these guys have to be on TV every week

Next we'll be seeing Brandi starting her own Dark Order, and Orange Cassidy in a Turkey costum.....oh wait...nvm. For all the stuff with Spears, they could have really let that feud continue on TV Cody vs Jericho was a nice "first feud" for TV but I think you could have easily given Jericho someone else and still have a way to get to MJF and Cody. In a sense, it seems like they think a little too much for simple things That loss Spears suffered hurt him greatly and the fact their is no midcard title has made him look lost in the scene despite a good look and Tully by his side

If this whole bit doesn't lead to Arn decking him by the end of the month and talking for Wod Fir, what's the point? This sounds pretty stupid.

I feel like the amount of stuff/people in Cody's orbit is getting a bit too much tbh. Like, it's just kinda difficult to keep up. Just wait until he's danced to the ring by 50 year old Nitro Girls.

I see we've reached the point where we hate stuff before it even makes the air now. How far we've come.

I feel like Cody has Hogan in WCW booking.
Every single thing is leading to a friend turning on him to feud.

I see we've reached the point where we hate stuff before it even makes the air now. How far we've come. On one token that's not really different from anywhere else (see the puppets before Bray debut FFFH) In this case, AEW has generally been given the benefit. People are taking the wait and see attitude as it doesn't look exciting on paper and it is a bit from left but that doesn't mean it can't be great once they do it

I think it's fun that Cody can't have the title. It's gonna bring interesting stories in future. If he happens to win a match against current world champion, he's still just dead inside - no matter what. He can fight for other title(s) for year or two and beside top players in big multi-man fights. Then they'll think of a loop hole, so he can win the actual world championship for once in his career... Not sure if I want Arn in the mix - if there's not 100% guarantee Flair and Tully will join in the mix. I kind of want 'em to turn on Cody, just as Cody's about to fulfill his dream of being managed by all three of 'em. I'm not scared of the Horsemen as AEW is pretty great promotion, it will not TNA/WCW up it in anyway.

I mean, considering how much Cody gets jumped this makes sense to me. Arn may be old, but he's a tough old man that can probably intercept any heel that wants to crawl out of the bottom of the ring or run in to jump Cody. That's a solid point. It's one thing to have a manager who can talk shit, and quite another to have a manager who can spinebuster a fool.

Coming soon, Jimmy Valiant will manage The Hybrid2 So who'll play the part of Paul Jones?

I'll take back what I said, gotta give coach some time. It's good to see Arn, probably the only Horseman who has any common sense left... I bet.

I'm getting serious Keke Rosberg vibes from Arn and that's a good thing. Whatever you say, coach!

I’ll always enjoy seeing guys like Arn in TV but as I joked to my friend when I was watching it, if Cody really needs someone to remind him to block a guys finisher then Holy s*** he really does need a coach ha

I liked the Coach's Corner bit, goes with how AEW is trying to be a little more sports-like with some of their presentation, plus how AEW's announcers end up commenting on pin execution and stuff like that.
