I like it as a sort of advisor/coach role and less of a managerial perspective. I can see Arn managing someone else down the line and this being his sort of introduction into doing so
Like for a specific group, guys who like to proclaim they're at the TOP, yknow?

Arn's just there to toss Cody a cold one out of his cooler at the end of matches.

Arn with Cody is like Flair with Mr. Perfect and Bobby Hennan in 92.

I definitely see the Arn turn coming, but I hope it’s not him and Tully turning against Spears for MJF/Wardlow as was suggested. MJF ain’t Horseman. I’d rather see him do some kind of douchey frat bro group like the Dynasty in MLW.
I’d rather Arn turn and join Spears/Tully, along with the Revival whenever they arrive and one more.

Thing is Spears has never recovered from his loss at All Out, dude is now a clown after how Janela owned him in the latest Dark show, better to turn him face and have him make up with Cody, let him say that he took Codys words of being a good hand the wrong way.

So they're giving a guy whose strength is his mic work a manager who isn't that good on the stick? Erm... I like Arn and all but this seems unnecessary. Arn....not good..on mic? Is this...like a real REAL early April Fool's joke or something?

Isn't this the role DDP was essentially playing?

Cody and MJF are going to have a Shark vs Empty Butthole Mudhole match with Arn suspended above the ring in a shark cage. If Cody doesn't win within 20 minutes Arn's cage is lowered into a trench filled with concrete thick poo mud, never to be seen again

Isn't this the role DDP was essentially playing? I may be wrong but I think difference is DDP is not signed to AEW, he is on one if those "pay-per-apparence" deals. Double A is "All Elite"

Arn is super hot with the key 18-34 demo, so this is a great get. And as a bonus, he still looks the same as he did 35 years ago, so there’s a chance someone might stop by and be tricked into thinking they’re watching Crockett. Also they can book Arn vs Tosh for DoN2. But what if they see Tully? I love the man but he's aged a damn slight more than Arn.

Spears is heading into a "Find a Tag Partner" gimmick. If I were to wager what happens here, Tully finds a partner, they start winning but ultimately fail due to Spears, and Tully sides with what I assume will be a new younger fresher face and kick Spears to the curb, leading to a Spears redemption angle and a grudge match

Oh the first thing that came to mind is that Arn will turn on Cody. It's customary. In fact I would have Dustin warn Cody about this because the whole famed Dusty "The View Never Changes" promo was about Arn turning to join the Stud Stable.

So basically, Cody is offering Arn a spot on AEW.

Isn't this the role DDP was essentially playing? Arn Anderson is a paid advisor (to make you remember "ah yes, Cody Rhodes has money" and compare that to our goth skater who was homeless for a period of time while wrestling) while DDP is a family friend and mentor. My theory is that Arn is there to try and solidify where the crowd should be cheering. long term who knows.

I mean, considering how much Cody gets jumped this makes sense to me. Arn may be old, but he's a tough old man that can probably intercept any heel that wants to crawl out of the bottom of the ring or run in to jump Cody.
