My birthday is Xmas eve, so I vote New Year's Eve. Solid reasoning.

Voted Christmas. \o/ I'm not sure how big of a deal Midsummer Day is elsewhere (it's called Juhannus here), but I think that takes the cake in the north where it usually is freezin' cold and you kind of just enjoy there being a full month or two tolerable weather in one year. My birthday is Xmas eve, so I vote New Year's Eve. Sounds like double the fun!

Ever since I got married everything Christmas related is just too damn stressful. Nothing like having multiple families fighting with dirty underhanded tactics trying to get people together for a holiday that should be based on love and forgiveness, not whomever gets the most presents or whom can have the biggest christmas family photo on facebook.
New Years Eve at least has football and my favorite local hangout has prime rib, shrimp and scotch eggs. I'm always home before 8pm because I'm too sick of tired of the shenanigans involved with Amateur Night.
But Halloween kicks major butt. I dress up like an idiot, throw too much candy at little kids and then go out on a party bus that drops me off at my front door. All Hallows Eve RULES

If it were available, I'd probably choose the night before Thanksgiving. It's traditionally a homecoming of sorts, where you get together with friends you haven't seen in a while or perhaps go out to a bar and run into former classmates or colleagues you haven't seen since graduating high school or college.
But of the contenders, I'll vote Christmas Eve. It's a much more relaxed day than Christmas, as all the shopping is done, all the gifts have been wrapped, and now it's about kicking back, relaxing, and cooking/eating a warm meal with family. It's like Christmas Day minus all the stress that accompanies it.
I'd argue New Year's Eve is my least favorite of the significant American holidays. So much time and effort is put into making plans and they never live up to expectations. It's easily the most overhyped holiday on the calendar. Everyone has these grand ideas of celebrating the New Year and often they either fizzle out or aren't half of what you expected.

Bro! Never have I participated in Arbor Day. Will probably try next year. Do it! Arbor Day Eve will make you do crazy things like running through the streets naked covered in clarified butter or watching Gilmore Girls reruns.

It's between New Years Eve and Halloween because Christmas Eve is a meaningless night to me. Halloween I get to look at a lot of fun costumes and eat candy. New Years' I get to drink a lot.

I can’t even remember which I voted for. I like the build up to Halloween better but Christmas Eve itself better

I didn't get to vote, but Halloween is both my favorite holiday and the one that has never gone right in my 17 years of adulthood. Christmas Eve means absolutely nothing to me as there are no activities planned for that day. New Year's has almost always been great, so far only eve of 2017 has been a bust and that was because it was 10pm and I was already in bed when our friends invited us over.
