*Police officer pulls up in front of house*
I think there is a psychotic killer inside this house. I should just go inside all by myself instead of waiting for backup or even telling anyone where I am.

Sometimes straight up murder. Like, most cops never have to fire their gun. I get they're vice cops in coked up 80s Miami, but god damn, they're killing somebody every week.

People who live in London and know all their neighbours. If any show has ever shown strangers talking to eachother willingly on the Tube, then that would be the most unrealistic thing ever seen. in TV I've never seen the NYC Subwway system shown just as packed as it is really is at Rush Hour Traffic...

One of my favourite jokes in Hot Fuzz was Angel pointing how unrealistic it is for action movie cops to rack up such huge body counts without ever dealing with the mountains of paperwork it would normally accrue.

Someone mentioned the idiotic friend, another is the asshole friend. One guy in a group is a total dick to everyone and everything and yet he's always part of the group and invited. Once again, further demonstrates what a shit-show me and my "friends" back then were, but yeah, our group had one of each. The "idiot" was affectionately known as the Little Brother of the group. Any attempt to correct him always resulted in someone jumping in with "leave him be, that's just the way he is". The "asshole" was a straight up self-centered, manipulative womanizer, who used his silver tongue to talk way more than his share of women into bed. He'd throw any one of the others under the bus for any reason, but it always resulted in a laughing "yeah, that's him all right!" Also, awesome cute girl with a miserable dating life? Totally seen it. Saw quite a few cute, warm, fun girls left in the dust because it seemed that no matter how cute and cool a girl was, if she didn't live a life of theatrics, it seemed the guys would write her off as boring. It got so bad I used to joke that the corollary to "girls only date jerks" must be guys claim to hate drama, but go out of their way to chase girls who might as well be starring in their own real life soap opera. And in case you think I'm projecting because I was rejected- I was one of the terrible girls the guys were chasing.

Going back to the topic of popular kids and such in TV shows and movies, I rarely ever see the popular kids as such jerks to anybody who isn't on their status. Granted, I knew a lot of them, as I was cool with a lot of people, but very few were nasty to others. A lot were actually cool. Hell, I was more or less affiliated with some and they knew that I was friends with people outside of the clique. And you know what? They were cool about it. Most don't really care who you associate with, regardless of popularity status.

Family grips about money but has a nice house, multiple vehicles, latest phones and consoles and goes out every other night. Makes sense. If they hadn't wasted their money on all those things then they wouldn't be worried about money.

Yeah, that normally only happens when you are drunk or a tourist asks you for directions which leads to more questions.

In defence of TV, the no anchovies brigade usually says it to the one ordering the pizza. Afraid he might order anchovies.

If a family member mysteriously disappears or becomes an entirely new person, it’s probably gonna come up once or twice.

Yeah, as I hit send I realized Fresh Prince acknowledged it.
