Since it's coming to an end; I'm interested what your thoughts are on Arrow? Honestly, I think that, even though it had it's problems, mainly due to the CW and their need for relationship drama, and the fact that they made Oliver less like his charming, witty self and made him more like a dark and brooding Batman cosplayer, I do think that Arrow have had a fairly talented cast of actors and actresses.
Amell, Katie Cassidy, Neal McDonough, Caity Lotz, Kirk Acevedo, Paul Blackthorne and others are all damn good actors and, even though none of the main Arrow actors were really 'D-Listers' before Arrow, I think that Arrow could have only helped them get work in the future. Hell, I can see Amell pulling a David Arquette and actually taking up wrestling, if not just to pass the time since the guy is obviously one of those celebs who's passionate about the industry, in the same way as Arquette.
As long as AEW doesn't give him their World title, I think Amell could make a second career out of wrestling if he wanted to since he did pretty damn good in his match against Daniels.

Show's had its ups and downs, but it also spawned something pretty great in the Arrowverse. Merlyn, Deathstroke, and Prometheus were also excellent villains (and later anti-hero in Slade's case). I thought the best seasons were 1, 2, 5, and 7 (weird future timeline split aside), with 8 shaping up to be up there with them.
I've also grown to like Amell a lot as Oliver as he grew into the role, and there was a solid supporting cast between the Lances, Thea, Diggle, Arsenal, and Wild Dog. Even Felicity had her moments and Emily Bett Rickards is a pretty awesome person in spite of all the hatred her character got.

Love show the been watching since the beginning.
But with that said I cannot say Stephen Amells version of the Green Arrow is my favourite that goes to Justin Hartley.
And really I cannot give the show the benefit of the doubt even though we are two episodes from it being over but the fact that they never gave the audience the Green Arrow and Black Canary relationship really f***ed this show over and all because Gugenhiemerschmidt had to fulfil his tumblr fanfics and because he hates following the canon of established lore and is why he is f***ing dispised as a show runner , writer etc
And it leads to why season 4 is pretty much un f***ing watchable unless you are a diehard and I mean diehard Olicity fan....which I will forever stand by is easily the most toxic fandom I have ever seen...they go as far as to trash Stephen Amells own wife and and try to break them up because they live in a f***ing insane plain of exsistence where they believe Emily Bet Rickards and Stephen Amell need to be together and then there is them and the shit they pull with Katie Cassidy because heaven for f***ing bid the Green Arrow ever get with The Black Canary......ugh makes my skin crawl thinking about it let alone typing about it.
And DeathStroke and Prometheus are the shows best villans by a country f***ing mile....with Malcom Merlyn being a great series long secondary antagonist.

I really enjoyed seasons 1 and 2, then tuned out about half way through season 3. I have a friend whose adamant I watched to season 4 but if I did I legit cannot remember.
1 and 2 were great though Manu Bennett is the man.

I’ve enjoyed most of the run, despite some weaker times in the middle of the run. The Arrowverse in general is a delight to watch, with each show being entertaining in its own way.

I watched the first few episodes, thought it was really, really boring so didn't pursue it further.

Seasons 4 and 6 were easily the weakest of the run, I thought. Shame, too, because Neal McDonough is an excellent actor and they wasted him as Damien Darhk. At least Damien got redeemed as a character in Legends of Tomorrow.
Though Earth-1 Laurel kinda bored me TBH. Earth-2 Laurel is a far better character and it seems like Katie Cassidy has a lot more fun playing her.

I think it was a terrific show for most of the first 5 seasons, with 1, 2, and 5 being the best seasons. 3 had the weaker flashbacks with less island stuff, while 4 never quite explained Damian Darkh to my entire satisfaction. But loved Deathstroke, Prometheus, etc. And most of the flashback stories were great in those years as well. The lack of island flashbacks really started hurting after season 5 though, as the writers now had to come up with entire episodes of current stories and then they did the crappy 2040 stuff that I could cared less about.

At least Damien got redeemed as a character in Legends of Tomorrow. Team Arrow had no business fighting a magic based villan doubly so when they had no one on the team that had any magical abilities to counter Damien and those that did were episode one offs like Vixen. But yea he was so much more suited for Legends because they actually had people that logically could match up with him and he was f***ing hilarious. "GIVE ME THE SPEAR OR I'M GONNA TURN YOU INTO A JOCK STRAP" lol But this is the moment f***ing die laughing every time just amazing

I tried 3 times to get into it. But while it is a decent show it isn't Green Arrow to me. I want a O'neal or Grell era Green Arrow. I totally get why the show is so big and has a big fanbase outside the comic fandom.

I like it a lot! I mean, it isn't Green Arrow at ALL - like you said it's pretty much Batman - but it's a lot of fun. I think they picked some great actors and i loved seeing characters like Thea change over time.
Fight choreography was wildly inconsistent though. As a guy who is kind of a nerd about that kind of thing it's shocking how all over the place it is.

It was a great show at times. High highs but really low lows. I stuck with it til the end though because I loved most of the characters and actors. Season 1, 2, 5 and 8 were great and season 7 was very good while 3 (minus a few episodes) and 4 were atrocious. 6 was meh. Honestly the main issue this show had was Marc Guggenheim and his Felicity bollocks. The show pretty much had a steep decline when he took over after season 2 and minus 1 season the show stayed pretty terrible until he left after season 6. Also, f*** him for what he did to Laurel Lance's character. In the end I'll be sad to see it go but I'm happy that it's seemingly ending on a high note. Fingers crossed

What really gets to me about them shitting on the laurel character is that is took them untill the show is done to FINALLY give everyone as close to comic accurate black canary as we have gotten but it aint even original laurel it is gawd damn black siren and also they gave everyone the bone of laurel and Ollie finally developing that relationship....right as the show ends. And then there was {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Only to of course have it be a dream They rubbed this shit in everyones face knowing what everyone wanted that wasn't into that dumpster of Ollicity.

I love Arrow as a whole, but season 6 is one of the worst seasons of anything I've ever seen. I hated every arc they did and I wasn't even terribly interested in 7 (which was better for the most part) as a result.
1,2,parts of 3, and 5 are great, though. 4 is meh.

But with that said I cannot say Stephen Amells version of the Green Arrow is my favourite that goes to Justin Hartley. Yea, I agree with this. Hartley was an underrated Green Arrow. Amell has played a good version of him tho. They have been able to get a good TV showcase going thanks to Arrow but in theory you can go back and thank Smallville for opening that trend Wasn't there supposed to be an Aquaman spin off too when they were pitching Arrow or towards the end of Smallville?

There was a pilot for an Aquaman show, and it was actually a huge hit on iTunes, but for whatever reason they didn't pick it up.

From about the middle half of season 3 till the season 5 premiere, Arrow was boring. Season 5 was great, season 6 twice had horrible main villains, but season 7 was a return to form, and season 8 has been damn good. Seasons 4 and 6 were easily the weakest of the run, I thought. Shame, too, because Neal McDonough is an excellent actor and they wasted him as Damien Darhk. At least Damien got redeemed as a character in Legends of Tomorrow. "GIVE ME THE SPEAR OR I'M GONNA TURN YOU INTO A JOCK STRAP" lol But this is the moment f***ing die laughing every time just amazing A big reason Darhk worked on Legends, is that they saw McDonough chewing scenery, and wanted more. Legends allowed him to have a blast with the character, while also moving the character forward. Gotta love Legends, they went into being completely bonkers, but continued doing character development, allowed everybody to shine, and hit the emotional moments perfectly.

I liked the guy playing Oliver and Diggle but overall I prefer The Flash for my lighthearted TV superhero shenanigans.
