Couldn't find a thread about this film directed by Sam Mendes. Unfortunately where I live our theatre didn't get it until today, whereas most theatre chains already had it in circulation. Managed to watch it tonight for our opening night premiere and have already recorded my review.
Has anyone else had a chance to watch it?

That is a movie I desperately want to catch in theatres. It looks so f***ing good, and as someone who has a lot of interest in 20th century wars I need to see it

I'll talk about it more in my Top 25 Favorite Movies of 2019......but it is an understatement to say it was good.

It was an incredibly impressive film from a technical standpoint, far less so on the story/character front.

It was more a drama than an action movie. I loved it!

Really intense and beautifully shot. If you can see it in IMAX I recommend it.
There's not much to it, doubt I'll revisit it, but was a good one time watch.

Looks great, but I'll probably just never get around to seeing it like Dunkirk. Only get to the movies so often due to the kid.
