It's been a week since the new year began, do you still have anything left from the holiday festivities? Or just anything in the fridge that's edible and waiting to be finished off?
One of the things here when new year hits is having some round food. Fruits, and in particular, ham and cheese. Still got a bit of that round ham lying around, as well as some queso de bola, or I think it's called edam cheese. Leftovers of that, which makes a pretty nice ham sandwich. There's also a lot of cookies from Christmas. I realize that I'm not that big of a cookie eater most of the year because when it's December it seems that there's nothing but cookies and biscuits given.

Got a couple of lobster tails my Dad never got around to cooking on Christmas Eve sitting in my freezer. Saving them for when the weather gets warmer, I have a recipe to cook them on the BBQ.

Tons of chocolates left. Every year I buy too many Quality Street, Roses, Celebrations etc. And every year we’re still eating them in February.

Got some candy left over. A few of the cookies an aunt sent. And I think there is a leftover pack of Hawaiian rolls.
I rarely do Xmas lunch or dinner at my place so don't often have Holiday leftovers at my place.
Now that I think about it I think there is still some of the cheese dip from the Xmas evening party in the fridge.

A lot of chocolate, to be exact a box of miniature Reeses cups, a tray of Ferrero Rocher and 3/4 of a (personalised) jar of Nutella

Just candy. I eat most of the leftovers for supper the night after usually. The food that get sent home with me from Xmas lunch became lunch and then dinner the day after Xmas. But honestly most of the traditional Xmas foods are stuff I am not that into. Not a fan of ham and not big into turkey. I usually eat a pile of sides and bread.

Oh, same here, I only eat a little turkey on Thanksgiving, and ham only on Christmas/Easter. My mother always act shocked when I say I'd never make a turkey for myself. "BUT TRADITION!!" eh, haha. Cranberry sauce, deviled eggs and rolls never last long around me though.

The first Xmas I had Xmas lunch with my girlfriend's parents they asked her afterwards if I was an vegetarian. But after explain how pork messes with my stomach and I have never been big on turkey they understood. But thankfully Mary's mother makes all kinds of great sides. SHe makes these spicy greenbeans that I could eat a few pounds of. The last 4 years I was married my wife and I would go have Chinese every Xmas for lunch.
