There’s some rumored salaries out there for the Peters and if they’re anywhere near the ballpark I..I just hope Tobey has consistently sent Leo gift baskets for Christmas - __ -

I'm guessing Pascal's creative role consists entirely of standing in a corner staring at a wall while Feige and other people who know what they are doing do the actual work. And cosplay as Sideshow Bob. Pascal -"It was always going to be tough rebooting Ghostbusters. I mean, those are some pretty big shoes to fill......big shoes to fill....big shoes to fill"

Loved it! But I’m left with more than a few (mostly extremely minor) questions. I wouldn’t be too surprised if most them wind up answered in an extended cut somewhere down the line.

And cosplay as Sideshow Bob. 'Kevin, I'm telling you. Spider-man's deadliest villain should be a Rake.' '...No. Wait, do you mean Jared Leto?' 'A Rake, a literal rake! Everyone fears them! We could make it 10 foot tall and CG! It could get a spinoff movie?' 'That's a terrible idea, but still better than any of Perlmutters.'

Just got back and gotta say had a lot of fun watching this movie. One big criticism was {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Aunt May getting fridged. She was such a great character and Marissa Tomei played her wonderfully so being a victim of an incredibly overused trope left a bad taste in my mouth. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Yep. Gwen Stacy: Ghost Spider is one of my favourite twists in modern comics, specifically because it undid the incident that caused the fridging trope. If they wanted an Uncle Ben for Peter, they already had Tony Stark.

I keep seeing people mention an extended cut or directors cut but have the MCU ever done an extended DVD/BD? I own them all and I’m positive that they’re all theatrical releases only.

If they wanted an Uncle Ben for Peter, they already had Tony Stark. Wut? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Ghost Spider has nothing to do with 'undoing' Gwen's fridging. She's pretty much an entirely different character with none of the same life goals or attitudes as the original, and she lived in a universe where none of the events of 616 ever happened and many Marvel characters all took different paths. If anything the title reenforces Gwen's death as Ghost Gwen learns of the 616 version being killed
I mean, hot take here, but Gwen Stacy just isn't interesting, and neither is Ghost Spider. Marvel have totally given up on her having a regular book now because nobody can make her as compelling as her now disgraced co-creators and her titles consistently underperform. The only reason she works in Spider-Verse is because it adapts both her early comic roots and focuses on the relationship with Miles that was teased by Bendis. Take that away and she's pretty much nothing.

Not only is any new iteration of Gwen more likely to become Spider Woman than doomed, the main one is now living in 616

I might be wrong here, but I think it might have something to do with people really liking Spider-Man. Just a guess.

So...I tried to avoid as many spoilers as I could these past 2 weeks. Just came out of the theater and I can proudly say that the one super huge spoiler wasn't really a "spoiler" to me, I mean I expected it. Besides that I got spoiled on something else that dealt with a post-post credits scene if you feel me.
But everything else? I wasn't spoiled on.
I'll just say it.
Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man. This was the best live action Spider-Man movie ever and me? Bruh I've got picks of me per-kindergarten wearing Spider-Man shirts. I'm really about this.
This was everything I wanted and more. I'll break it down later but right now I'm just trying to compose myself. I can't believe it was what it was.

People value Spider-Man more than their own health, safety, and well-being in the middle of a pandemic. That's how popular he is.

A lot of the last act of the movie kind of felt like {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Sony telling Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx, "You deserved better than what we gave you."
Like, goddamn. What a redemption. As for the other bit... {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Aunt May dying was unfortunate, but it didn't bother me that much because I felt it reinforced what her general push had been, and also, I just do not really know what you'd do with her if she had come back. I really enjoyed myself. Anyone who is hemming and hawing about it due to being sick of Peter being in Tony Stark Jr. territory in past movies, that's long gone now. Thank God for that.

Figured that out when he bequeathed control of his army of murderdrones to a 16 year old kid instead of someone like Rhodey. On that note, Tony really loves his murder drones. How many times did they recycle that arc with him? Never learned his lesson, or at least it never stuck. Despite his intentions, Stark never truly left behind his roots as a weapon manufacturer. I get why he wouldn't give it to Rhodey if he thought that meant it'd get handed over to the military, but still, as for Tony and drones, I guess even a reformed carpenter is going to see the world as a bunch of nails.
