His time's come this year with this Rumble win. They've done a great job with him this past 6 weeks. It's his time.

Ok, it's 4.17am Glasgow time, so before bed, here is my succinct Rumble review as it stands:
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
PS The rumble match sucked, but I don't care right now!

Drew better beat Brock at Mania, at this point people can't take it anymore.

The only thing good I can say for McIntyre is that he's the one person on the planet who can make the double-arm DDT look good. So I guess that's something.

Drew better beat Brock at Mania, at this point people can't take it anymore. Heyman and Vince both like him. So I can see Brock doing the job.

Should've been doing from the start what they've done the last 6-8 weeks

Strap him up, it is finally time
I feel like dude has been ready since he had a good run in Impact and they have been using him as henchmen for no damn reason in WWE. This moment today made him a star and you saw the tears in his eyes knowing how much it meant to him

I actually thought he looked like a badass tonight. He has to beat Brock though. They actually succeeded in making a star tonight and despite the Ricochet lowblow, they made him look like he could go with Brock.

Great performance, possibly even star-making if they play their cards perfectly.
Creative and/or Drew himself simply can not ruin this momentum between now and Mania. Protect the hell out of this guy and you have a new draw.
Heyman's always talked about "accentuating the positives, downplaying the negatives"...time to prove it.

Might as well give him the title. It will be a boring and meaningless reign where he basically wrestles the same guys he’s wrestled the past two years but for a title this time so it’ll be later in the card.
Whatever

still remember being massively surprised by him in an Elimination Chamber... where he basically went all out and was a machine in there and was by far the MVP of the match... and they of course then went and did nothing with him until he was released

After being released, I didn't watch any of his independent or Impact stuff. But I would hear that he has really improved and is becoming the star that he was always said to be. Then his NXT run really opened my eyes as to his potential as a main event guy. I saw him at a house show in 2018, main eventing against Roman Reigns, right before Reigns went out for his leukemia treatment, and I knew he had what it takes. So happy for him, you could tell he was emotional about it after winning tonight.

Okay, so I decided to do some quick binging on Youtube on some of the recent McIntyre stuff people've been saying has totally turned it around for him and I do need to comment on this.
This promo is actually, like, really goddamn good. I'll give credit there.

That subtle...subtle touch! He didn't turn his back to Brock even after Brock got eliminated. We were all expecting Brock to do the blindside job after he got eliminated, but it didn't happen.
