Hopefully it's a false positive for Turner. And if it is not, everyone who played that game is quarantined for two weeks because somebody didnt think we should have tested and gotten the results back.....BEFORE THE GAME. Think about what would have happened if Tampa pulled another win out of their ass. Somebody screwed up big time here.

During his post-game press conference tonight, Kevin Cash said he “didn’t want Mookie or Seager seeing Blake a third time.” But he then immediately followed that up by saying, “There was no set plan. As much as people think, there's no set plan.” It sounds like not wanting Snell to pitch to Betts or Seager a third time is a set plan, Kevin.
The more I think about it, the worse this decision is. If this is managing baseball in 2020, why even have humans as managers? Why not just have a computer spit out the decision if we’re removing all feel and instinct from the game?

I’m not complaining but it was stunning he did that. The funny thing? Roberts, one of the most “ran by number crunching orders” managers in the league went the opposite way. In 2017 he yanks a cruising Urias to put in Jansen. Instead he rode the hot hand to glory. Edit: wow, I’m stoked as hell but that Turner news is so bad. Keep in mind Manfred was there, knew, and did nothing?

Rosenthal has issued a correction on that, saying the first result came back in the 2nd as inconclusive, the test from earlier today was fast tracked, and Turner got immediately pulled at the news of today's test being positive. Of course, that's all moot with Turner going back onto the field to celebrate.

So did Snell test positive too or something?
And imagine if there was a game 7 that had to be delayed 2 weeks.

I know this likely won't change the narrative around him, but I'm happy for Kershaw. He finally got a ring and his contributions were a big part of why.

If you buy into the “not clutch choker” narrative you by default must accept “gritty, gutsy, clutch” narratives, and in game 5 after a heartbreaking loss he won without his best stuff and made a super headsup play to snuff out the steal at home. Stugotz will be hilarious tomorrow, but kershaw sorta ended the debate.

It should, he was fantastic in this World Series, and in the 2017 World Series with the exception of the game in Houston. And given what we know about Houston, that really shouldn't be held against him.

Sort of will, sort of won’t He got a ring so that’s the most important thing and played a big part in winning so no matter what he has that on his resume. Same shit A-Rod did when Yankees won the chip

Man, f*** Mike Trout Mookie got two rings, he is the best player in baseball It’s unfair to punish Trout since he hasn’t had the chance, but Mookie so special. He made the difference for us. He taught the lineup how to win and I’m a super numbers guy who scoffs at intangible stuff mostly, he just has IT. I’m going to be so drunk tonight. I hope we can give proper attention to how big the balls of Urias are

Man, f*** Mike Trout Mookie got two rings, he is the best player in baseball Mookie is the best player in baseball not named Mike Trout. One thing that can't be forgotten in this postseason is Roberts not going to Kenley in some big moments. Game 7 of the NLCS, game 5 of the World Series, and game 6 of the World Series, all saw no Jansen. Urias closed out the NLCS and World Series for the Dodgers. That's pretty damn telling. Jansen had the disaster that game 4, and never saw the mound after that. Is this the end of Jansen in Los Angeles? Or does he take a setup role for the Dodgers? Are they gonna give the spot to Urias or Brusdar?

Mookie is special and should get respect on his name as the best player in baseball

Think about this--the second Mookie came to us we won the World Series. I think Trout is truly a GOAT potential player, but the way we view players and evaluate them, Mookie has so much on his side. I agree the gap isn't as big as previously thought. Also: Urias. Balls. Dodgers. Champions. f*** YEAH

Urias will probably get the chance to close moving forward Brusdar still has starter potential with a sinker that is 100 MPH but it he doesn't work as a starter he's a great BP piece to fall back on. With Urias having that capsule surgery years ago and somehow coming back, he's always going to be on an innings limit so why not take advantage and just keep him in the BP as the closer

It isn't his fault that Angels can't do shit right but eventually as a player there is some responsibility of knowing this will effect your legacy in some way. Dave Roberts did what is missing with a lot of managers, he just let the players play. Don't try to overthink and be the smartest person in the room.

Seager is a Boras client, and both Bellinger and Buehler are going to be paid handsomely. If we lock those guys up on top of Betts we are sitting pretty, but there's going to be some house cleaning soon I think. Brusdar/Treinen will be closing and I think Urias gets his chance to be a starter.
