Turner better goddamn hope he had a false positive and doesn't actually have the virus. Rosenthal already said it's not a false positive. Turner should get a year suspension at least. I'd throw the f***er out of the league. I think Manfred as usual, will give him a slap on the wrist. Mets decline options on Chirinos, Frazier, and Ramos. Chatter that they may go after Realmuto. I do not want Realmuto, I want a trade and sign of Lindor.

Man, the Dodgers are really making it easy for me to hope they have a terrible 2021.

Also I doubt Cash gets fired for this. Considering how analytics-driven the Rays are, Cash was likely just following marching orders from the front office and the GM on when to take Snell out.

I’d say Cash, for one, is glad Turner did what he did. Takes the heat off his ass for biggest bonehead move of the night.

I wonder how Turner even got it in the first place. That's what I'd want to know if I was MLB and the MLBPA. Especially as the playoffs were supposed to be a bubble environment even with fans being allowed in the Texas stadiums. That means there's a distinct possibility that he broke protocol and got himself exposed.

Cash just did a boneheaded baseball move. Turner potentially put people's lives in danger. His manager is a cancer survivor, for one thing.
Speaking of protocol, though, how, if you're MLB, do you even let the game be played if the test results don't come in until the second inning? And it apparently took until the seventh to discover that Turner tested positive?

That’s the exact thing I was wondering. MLB hadn’t had any positive cases in a while. How did a guy in the bubble catch it? He better hope he didn’t break protocol or he might cost himself in this free agency if MLB lays down the hammer.

Turner got a lot of explaining to do
The only person to get the virus in the playoff bubble and then you break it to celebrate with the team
A hefty suspension is necessary

I don't care why he did it, whether it was an analytics thing or a gut feeling....taking Snell out at that point was astronomically stupid. As a Nationals fan, I would've been fuming if they pulled Stras early in Game 6 last year. Hell, Nationals fans should remember just a few years earlier Matt Williams taking out Zimmerman. 18 innings later Brandon Belt happens. I don't like to think about that but it haunted me for years. I didn't have cable at the time either and had to sit for HOURS watching that on my phone.

So, not only did the Dodgers not have a single positive test throughout the entire regular season and the postseason until the other night, Justin Turner was apparently one of the gatekeepers of the policy and making sure people stayed safe and didn't break protocol.
So what the f*** happened?!

So what the f*** happened?! This happened. As soon as it was within his grasp, I think he did a judgment call and decided "screw the protocols, I want this trophy!"

Hinch is back an looks to be headed to Tigers Should have been out of baseball at least two years. I'm not sure how Tigers fans feel about this move.

Tigers have rebuilt themselves to have one the best farm systems, I doubt they want him f***ing it up and costing them draft picks Bold by Tigers management to hire him knowing they got a ton of young kids

For what it's worth, Hinch is probably the one person who has enough plausible deniability to get re-hired fairly soon.
