I would love to see a TMNT series that went the "Beware the Batman" route and just loaded it up with obscure and lesser-known characters from the TMNT mythos. Pimiko, Shadow Jones, Usub Gerstalk, Tempestra, Vam Mi, Carter, Mr. Touch and Mr. Go, any of those action figure characters that never appeared on any show like Halfcourt or Sandstorm, etc. Man that would be right up my alley. Of course I'm pretty sure I'm the only TMNT fan in existence that would appreciate a show like that, so I can't see Nickelodeon being all too interested in making it. Only if Walkabout, Kid Kangie, and if they make Terrorpin the Terrible and Snappy Warhol actual things

I'm a die-hard TMNT fan, mostly comics but other media obviously too. Let me just say that April's race can be anything and it works. She's just a typical American from New York, America's melting pot. Anyone who fusses about it aren't looking at it from the sensible perspective. I guess the last name is a bit limiting, but I honestly don't care. Just write her well. Even then, she could always be adopted. Or mixed.
Or just simply African-American.

Or just simply African-American. Titus is her dad.

Splinter shows the biggest flaws in this show, ignore the fact that it goes against the core of his character in every incarnation
Cartoon has two great Dad Figures in it, Prof Utonium and Splinter. Both became completely awful fathers in the recent reboots.Plus it is just a generic overused cliche of a character.

Not really a franchise I can claim to have ever been into - full disclosure, I have no earthly idea which turtle is which - but it kind of feels to me like if you're going to be rebooting it every few years like Power Rangers or Transformers then you might as well go wild and radically break from the existing template instead of following the same general framework. I probably wouldn't put April in it at all just in the name of mixing things up. Leonardo leads. Donatello does machines. Raphael is cool but rude. Michelangelo is a party dude.

And Venus does yoga or something.

Will the next show include the new female Turtle IDW introduced? If I had to guess I would say yes. She seems to be the trendiest part of the franchise right now.

"what we had heard is that it’s a live-action show"
That's it I'm out of here.

"what we had heard is that it’s a live-action show" That's it I'm out of here. Hang on, though. If they can get Brian Henson involved it could harken back to the good movie. Think about what the Henson Company pulled off with the suits they built in 1989. Now apply modern advances to that.

If anything since Nickelodeon has the rights it'll most likely wound up being a Schneider show.

Anyone think the new mobile game Mutant Melee is an 'official' version of the fan game Rescuepalooza?
I mean...both games include the option to play Super Irma

You know what? I'm happy about this. Rogen & Goldberg have a good track record adapting offbeat comic book properties.
