One thing I will say about Ricochet (and this is shared by some others, like Black, Lee, Aichner, Alexander...) is that his presentation comes across a little bit like what a 12 year-old wrestling fan would do in their entrance when playing pro wrestler. Generically "cool," or generically "bad-ass." Dude could use some acting classes to make things feel more lived-in and less like poses he's making.
But like it's ridiculous the WWE doesn't just give acting classes to the whole roster just as part of their training.

As much as I want to pile on the "bad booking" train with everyone else, could this possibly be leading to something? A talented wrestler in a bit of a slump in need of guidance, perhaps from a Monday Night Messiah? To that I’d ask what would be the benefit of making a guy/wrestler like Ricochet a heel? It'd definitely continue modern WWE's trend of turning tons of pure babyfaces heel.

My other idea that doesn't involve turning Ricochet heel and putting him with MVP is sending him to SD to team with Mustafa Ali with Ali doing the promo work for the team.

I mean I don’t want to beat a dead horse but that all goes back to Vince: He markets his entire product as if it were geared toward children. And they’re not going to hire anyone to help teach the roster how to act because that gives them somewhat of an authority on the final product over Vince. And at the end of the day, in WWE land, it all comes down to Vince because he “knows what’s best”. Remember how friendly Cena was to Freddie Prinze Jr?

Because if it's one thing WWE loves to do, it's abandoning the broader demographic of family viewing with the shitpiles of merch options and opportunities, to focus instead on the Attitude-Era-fixated "purists" who might buy one T-shirt for their favourite heel and claim that they own their souls. I'm convinced: WWE is looking to destroy itself and take the entirety of the wrestling business down with it.

Imo, in this day and age, guys like Riccochet are a dime a dozen. Great in the ring, not much else.

Wrestling fans over-react so much. He got a WWE Title Match against Brock Lesnar, at a PPV, that no one watched because of where it was. He lost to the 24/7 Champion Riddick Moss because he wasn't 100% from Thursday & the fans needed to see what Moss can do in an actual wrestling match, instead of stupid 24/7 skits, which they haven't done for him yet. 2 losses doesn't end someone's career. Wins & losses aren't supposed to matter in WWE.

Imo, in this day and age, guys like Riccochet are a dime a dozen. Great in the ring, not much else. So...make him unique. Try different ideas, teach him to cut the promos they want him to, give him a manager. That’s literally their job. I’m not one of the people that say he’s done because it’s wrestling, stranger things have happened, but there have been so many cases of them throwing out people with not much to them and then giving up when there’s zero connection, it’s getting ridiculous. Where’s the company that said “This Batista guy shouldn’t be a Deacon, he should be a beast for a stable” or “Wow, this guy can rap, let him do that on TV”? Because it feels like that company doesn’t exist anymore.

He is... honestly wrestlers these days are so good and can do so much that you can get an amazing match from almost anybody. There’s no character development. Guys get pushes for a couple months. Then they don’t. They go to the top of the card for a bit and then they’re not.

Ricochet has a hell of a lot of star presence. He can't talk, but he's charismatic as all hell and when you use him well he comes off as a huge deal.

Quoting myself from the last page. . and I mean you don't have to go far back to see Ricochet's charisma... ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/322VVoXmtBEIcf4vwU/giphy.gif) I mean let Ricochet do things like this on the main roster and show off his swagger. Dude does a big somersault out of the ring lands perfectly square on the ramp and then walks like what he just did was nothing.

Drew came back with a much better presence.

This will lead to another "F**k Vince McMahon" type of interview in the near future from Ricochet

Imo, in this day and age, guys like Riccochet are a dime a dozen. Great in the ring, not much else. Sadly, yeah. Flippy flashy characters are having the same problem good work-rate type characters are having. They work best when they're not the standard. It's so weird right now. All these super physically crisp guys are everywhere and they're so amazingly talented, but they kinda all make eachother feel less important. In an age where everyone is just so damn good at the wrestling bits, ya gotta have something to stand out. Ricochet hasn't found what his is yet.

I suggest go watch (if you have not of course) his Dark Puma run in LU where he is in firm tweener role and really pulls it off really well...where he isn't posturing like a babyface , he isn't saying anything but his overall body language is just a guy out to wreck the f*** out of anyone in his way. Because he has the ability to project an intimidating presence again just go watch the above....but what everyone is seeing is he does not have the ability to overcome shitty writing.

Imo, in this day and age, guys like Riccochet are a dime a dozen. Great in the ring, not much else. Pretty much. Half of the roster can do a standing SSP these days and ALL of the roster can do a somersault dive and moonsault. The 630 just isn’t enough anymore. I like him, but he’s not great on the mic and he hasn’t really been given anything to work with creatively either. He was so much better as Prince Puma, at least he had a mythos there and was an excellent part of the overall story arc despite never talking much(if at all)

The fact that his WWE run has made people view him as a “dime-a-dozen flippy guy” should really tell you all you need to know about their booking. There’s a reason he was in high demand when they signed him and as WWE usually does, they haven’t held up their end of the bargain and put him in spots to show what he can really do.

What’s even sadder is in six months time Moss will be the one jobbing to the next new sensation from NXT

Sadly, the truth of the matter is Ricochet got over with his work rate and wrestling ability.
Two things you're likely to never be able to show off in WWE if you're not a part of NXT.
