Based upon other thread on comics
Blitzball was fun and a good side distraction in FFX
FF13 is not as bad as people make it out to be

FF13 is WORSE than people make it out to be The original ending of Mass Effect 3 was mostly ass but the extended cut endings were more than satisfying and the people still mad about it don't know what the f*** they actually wanted the ending to be. Mass Effect Andromeda has issues but it's still a fun game with likable characters that deserves a place in the franchise. Final Fantasy 12 would probably be remembered and talked about more if the battle system didn't suck all the fun out. Storywise it was a more mature direction the franchise really needed and Squenix' reverting the franchise to pretentious nonsense starring emo teens afterward is one of the reasons for FF13 being received so poorly Suikoden is the best JRPG series and Konami's refusal to do anything with it is another reason to hate them.

FFIX is the best Playstation-era and later Final Fantasy.
Difficulty isn't something to laud a game for in itself, any game can be made difficult (Your enemy: A tank, your weapon: a nail file. Have fun!). Dark Souls (et al) were difficult, but it was (largely) fair and was in service to something. An easy mode wouldn't have ruined Dark Souls (et al) anyway.

Simpsons Road Rage is actually BETTER than Crazy Taxi. (Mainly because of the control scheme, could never get the hang of the Crazy Taxi driving.)

I love FF10’s English dub. Some of the dialogue tries too, hard to sync with the original, but I love most of the performances.
Yes, Battle is the best of them, but the Sonic Adventure games are all fun, period. I even like the treasure hunting levels.
Mario Sunshine is underrated. It isn’t the greatest Mario 3D game but I don’t consider it a trash fire.

Yo Noid and Fester's Quest are actually pretty decent games, and Noid is just a couple of control adjustments away from being very good.

I grew up playing the NES and going back and playing most “old school” games at this point is just awful rather than nostalgic.

People who grumble about games being too easy today and yearn for the NES era difficulty forget that many of those games with only 4 lives and no continues or save points were made so you'd spend money for strategy guides and cheat codes.

The Western Silent Hills are still pretty good games and Shattered Memories deserves the same level of reverence as the originals.
Arkham Asylum does not hold up and City improved upon it in every way.
The only good Uncharted game is 4 and every one before that has awful gameplay and story.
Dying Light’s low review scores are still baffling to me as it’s one of the best zombie survival games I’ve ever played.
The more open approach to Assassin’s creed games have made them worse and the combat has gone from an alright Batman clone to a crappy mmo lite system where all that matters is experience levels.

Most "Git gud" types are the same people who'd scream and cry at a NES era game like they were James Rolfe if it weren't a joke.

Rockstar's best years are behind them. Their last truly great game was Red Dead Redemption and GTA: San Andreas before that.

I don't care for the modern Doom games. They don't excite me at all and if I wanted to deal with skill trees and shit I'd play an RPG.
And Gears of War f***ing sucks.

I prefer Tetra Master in Final Fantasy IX over Triple Triad in VIII.
Hugo is underrated in Ultra SFIV, if you know the right inputs.
The best version of the Star Fox canon was the manga by Benimaru Itoh that was published in Nintendo Power. It’s dramatic, funny and the art’s great. Part of me wishes they’d use it as the basis for either a next gen game, or a feature film or series.
I didn’t mind the Wisps in Sonic Generations. They were enjoyable in Colors, and aside from it being a little harder using Classic Sonic, they’re a fun addition.
FPSes are fine and all but I miss classic light gun games like House of the Dead, Lethal Enforcers, Time Crisis, etc.

The last great Civilization Game was Civ 2.
Star Wars Podracer is one of the best racing games ever.
The South Park Stick of Truth/Fractured But Whole games are legit A+ tier RPG gaming experiences.

Not only do I not remotely mind the abundance of Fire Emblem characters in Smash Bros., I would add more if given the opportunity.

Without spoiling anything, after finishing FF7 Remake everyone has every reason in the world to be afraid Nomura is going to ruin things with his trademark faux-intellectual storytelling.

FF13 is WORSE than people make it out to be That I can agree with The original ending of Mass Effect 3 was mostly ass but the extended cut endings were more than satisfying and the people still mad about it don't know what the f*** they actually wanted the ending to be. Mass Effect Andromeda has issues but it's still a fun game with likable characters that deserves a place in the franchise. I don't really think the Extended ending really fixed anything... but I had more problems with the game than just the ending... a lot of other choices that you made were pretty much flat out didn't matter I have said that Andromeda is not a bad game... it's an OK game... and is by far the worst in the series... they could have built stuff on to it... but yeah that ain't happening due to them releasing it as broken as it was. Now for my Bioware unpopular video game opinion... Anthem was not an unsalvageable game... buried deep under a lot of the half assed ideas and poor storytelling there was a fun game hidden.... it comes out in like 4 or 5 minute bursts... that said it's probably too late to fix it... even if they pull off a Realm Reborn style patch... I don't see people going back to it.
