I had a feeling when they showed the food stand with the giant crab that we'd get LAD's version of the Dotonbori area of Osaka. I can't confirm if this is true or not, but I saw some comments on the stream last week, the "Castle" area they mentioned seems to be the same replica of Osaka Castle that Sengoku from 2 owned.

Kaiji Tang will probably reprise the role of Ichiban for Infinite Wealth.

Been playing like a Dragon this past month via PS Plus I love it. There is so much stuff to do. Gonna buy Infinite Wealth as well as look into the past Yakuza games (and the Judgement games as well)...

Currently playing Yakuza 3 as I want to go through the main series chronologically. I am once again addicted to koi-koi. In general, I'm enjoying it so far. I know it's often regarded as the "black sheep" of the series but I don't really have a problem with it. I can see what people mean when they complain about the enemies blocking too much but at the same time, I think it's done on purpose to encourage diversifying your offense and using weapons. Then again, I don't think it's quite as bad as people make it out to be anyway.
Also, there's something weirdly enjoyable about seeing Kiryu running the orphanage, to the point that it almost felt weird when the actual Yakuza-related part of the plot started.
One thing I will say is that you can tell it's an older cult game, as it can be quite... "quirky" when it comes to gameplay and it feels so much stiffer than the newer ones. Having discovered the franchise with Yakuza 0 and then played the Kiwami versions of 1 and 2 (and then Judgment), it takes some getting used to. I'd still like to try the original versions of 1 and 2 someday, though.
And that said, it can also be incredibly satisfying at times; I feel like I'm escaping from battles without taking a single hit much more frequently than I do on the newer games, as long as I don't get cocky, anyway.

I like 3. It has a comfy setting and IMO best villian. Pain in the ass to 100% though!

If you play 3 after playing the PS2 games, the controls feel like the most fluid thing in the world and is how I would recommend most to play 3.
Playing 3 after the Kiwamis feels jarring because you're playing a 2009 game after a 2018 game. Of course things handle better in Kiwami 2!
People complain about 3 but should be damn glad they never played Dead Souls.

I've just started Like a Dragon Gaiden.
I was over the moon when I found out that a retitled version of Daytona USA 2 was playable.

Just finished the main story of Like a Dragon Gaiden.
Its easily the shortest game in the series. If you ignore most of the side content, it can be finished in around 12 to 15 hours.

Probably the strongest reviews of the series thus far. Looks like another classic! Really looking forward to this one.

New Game+ being exclusive to the Deluxe edition of Infinite Wealth sucks.
I may just wait for this game to go on sale in that case.

I had some holiday to use up at work so I just decided to take a couple of days at the end of January and give myself a four-day weekend.
Then I found out this was coming out. Well, I know what I'm spending all four days doing!
Love this series and I really loved Like a Dragon as well. New Game+ being locked behind a deluxe version really does suck but isn't a deal breaker for me as I rarely play games this long twice.

I rarely do NG+ in games so unless there's some mind-blowing good content in there I'll just get the standard edition. That's a borderline scummy move though wow.
