Something that I don't really have an issue with but I know a lot of people do, there is no physical release planned of The Man Who Erased His Name.

It sucks for people with shitty internet connections or people who can't hook up their consoles to ethernet cables, that's for sure.
Though starting with the PS3, disc-based games became increasingly irrelevant for everyone else. No instruction manuals and mandatory installs take as much time and hard drive space as a digital download on a good internet connection. Even a lot of physical collectors' editions don't actually include the disc.
Really, the only system I buy physical games for anymore is the Switch. The non-OLED Switches and Switch Lites are Wifi-only and there's no mandatory installs. Not to mention the internal storage for a Switch without an SD card is tiny. So it makes physical game carts that much more convenient.

It's probably digital because it's not as big as one of the main series games. This is just to bridge the gap between 6 and 7.

I believe they said that the story is about as long as The Kaito Files DLC for Lost Judgement.

I can't wait for the culture shock of what looks like Kasuga dealing with suddenly being in Hawaii.

For what it's worth, I don't think this is #8, but another spin-off like Gaiden.
Hope it's not just for the Xbox series, either...

None of the games were announced as exclusives except for the obvious first party games like Fable, Flight Simulator, Starfield etc. At the very least, everything will be on PC even the first party stuff. But they're not going to say "Oh it's also on Sony and Nintendo consoles, too" at a Microsoft event.

At least in the case of Persona 3 store listings have already confirmed Switch, PS4, and PS5 versions of it, so safe to assume the same (sans Switch in a lot of cases) will apply for other stuff.

I mean, I expect as much because of Persona’s Sony history but also because, as Darth said, Microsoft isn’t going to pay money for Sega and Atlus for their conference only to promote the completion also getting said games.

Judging by it, Ichiban is packing where it counts.

I'm about to finish Yakuza 3 tonight. It's been more enjoyable than I anticipated going into it, but I'm still at the point where I'll be glad for it to be over. There's a lot about the game that still works even 15 years later - the story, the smaller scale, the music and atmosphere are all top notch. But there's a lot that doesn't - the chase sequences are all time-wasters, and I hate pretty much everything to do with boss fights but especially hate the "Feel the Heat!" sections, as well as the fact that Heat Actions across the board are nearly-useless in boss fights. Group combat is also a gigantic pain in the ass once enemies start spawning with weapons; the clunkiness of the original engine is super-apparent here. I've still enjoyed my time with it but yeah, onwards and upwards from here, lol.
Then once I finish Final Fantasy 16, it'll be on to Y4. It was my intro to the series so I'm curious to see how it holds up over a decade later.

BTW, Yakuza 0 through 6 are now available on GOG.com. DRM-free and all.
Infinite Wealth IS Like a Dragon 8. It just won't be called that outside of Japan.

I had a feeling when they showed the food stand with the giant crab that we'd get LAD's version of the Dotonbori area of Osaka.
