It wasn't school per se, more like a work study over the summer combined with school assignments, but...they had us watch Total Recall in one of the "classes." I would have been really happy. I love that movie.

I don’t know my school got away with showing us Do The Right Thing (the teacher fast forwarded the nudity scene) and Full Metal Jacket.

This was my first semester of college and not HS but in Honors Intro to Communications we watched Full Metal Jacket as well. It was to illustrate dehumanization. The prof. stopped it before Pyle does what he does though and we didn't watch any of the 2nd half. The irony of not watching the 2nd half though is that the ending of the film and Joker's final act against the Vietnamese sniper chick is the whole payoff of the dehumanization theme.

We watched a documentary on animal mating and reproduction for a science class. The narrator was disturbingly detailed about the genitalia of the tortoise...

In Spanish Class we watched Stand and Deliver. Not in Spanish, just in English (to be fair, this was another substitute teacher).

We watched True Lies in Health class once in Junior High. In fairness, Jamie Lee Curtis looked very healthy in that one scene.

we had a sub for shop class, who really knew nothing of shop class stuff so he brings in the TV for movie time, and the only VHS tape he could find was Mallrats that he rented. so we watched that. Complete with the topless fortune telling scene?

Well, first they love me, and then they don't. Sometimes they do it, and sometimes they won't.

I can’t think of any weird movies, but in tech ed we watched the season finale of The Wonder Years because of the scenes in the furniture shop with guys cutting wood.

Hmmm a regular teacher I guess it would be a highly edited cut of the 1984 film ,from 1984. Our Honors english teacher had cut out all the nudity. Which meant the film made no sense if you hadn't read the book. Might just be the time and area I was in school. But 90% of what yall have mentioned wouldn't be shown when I was in school...well not shown by a regular teacher.
Senior year I took accounting to get my final math credit.A prank was played on the teacher the last day before Xmas break and she quit, she was in her late 70s and planned on retiring once the school year was over. The sub they got could only be there on Mondays. So the rest of the week in Accounting we watched whatever movie the sub had recorded off HBO or Cinemax the niht before. I know we saw Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and I think it was Friday the 13th part 5. WE could also bring vhs from home. I brought in Hellraiser and a badly bootlegged copy of Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer.
But my high school was odd,if you got caught cussing, even stuff like hell damn or ass,you got suspended for a week. But get in a fight and that is only a 3 day suspension.

We watched Forrest Gump in History class.
Great film of course. I can't remember if my teacher fast forwarded the part where him and Jenny get a little intimate.
Also not a movie, but in theatre class, my teacher really wanted to find a play for us to do that was a funny, quirky take on fairy tales. He found one that we started reading through, and it was full of weird sexual and drug references and cuss words.
After a day or two of reading through it, our teacher(and all of us) basically said "this is absolute trash" and decided to find something else.
It was indeed really bad, it read like Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara wrote it.

Was the schools I went to the only schools that didn’t show movies in classes? Sure, they showed cartoons but that’s when I was in kindergarten and first grade/young. I can’t remember any teacher of mine playing movies in class.

My very first English class in college my professor showed us Fight Club. I have no idea why at this point. One of the only college professors who’s name I remember though! (That and the dude was a dead ringer for Ryan Stiles)
