In two years, they went from so desperate for content that they sunk another $70 million into a box office bomb to just casually dumping off award-winning programs. HBO Max really did turn out to be the runt of the streaming services, didn't it. Granted only because a jackass came in and basically smothered it.

It’s pretty sad because I think I genuinely enjoyed HBO Max the most out of all the streamers.

Yeah, HBO Max was a solid service being ruined by a hatchetman. Peacock just sucks.

Guessing DVD/Blu Ray sales of Westworld will spike once it's gone from HBO Max Genuine question, have networks been producing DVDs of the streaming shows? Feels like I don't see them promoted much any more

So... telling a bunch of a-listers they're not getting residual checks... that's a good way to make sure that people want to work with your company...

I do hope that WBD's general incompetence and brazen callousness in the way it's treating its digital properties leads to something of a resurgence of demand for physical media again.

These non-WB Discovery properties will be removed from HBO Max with their owners free to license them to other streaming services:
- The Gordita Chronicles (Sony Pictures Television) - Love Life (Lionsgate) - Minx (Lionsgate) - Made for Love (Paramount)
EDIT: Add.....
- The Garcias
These WB Discovery properties will be removed from HBO Max with the goal of licensing them to FAST streamers (Free Ad-Supported Television):
- Westworld - The Nevers - FBoy Island - Legendary - The Time Traveler’s Wife - Raised By Wolves
EDIT: Add.....
- Finding Magic Mike - Head of the Class

Meanwhile, MAX becomes a wasteland of no-budget reality TV trash.

Who would of thought that the eventual STREAMING WARZ with everyone and their mother getting a new streaming service would cause something like this and Netflix all around downfall

Who would of thought that the eventual STREAMING WARZ with everyone and their mother getting a new streaming service would cause something like this and Netflix all around downfall Well, once the STREAMING WARZ began, and the cost of all the sites you'd have to sign up for to watch everything rivaled any premium cable bill, I think the bubble bursting was immediately expected, if not eagerly awaited.

Yep. If this had stopped with Netflix and Amazon, we'd probably be in a golden age of entertainment right now. Instead it's a bunch of services at daggers drawn over each other's customer bases, and still none of them are making money, so now it's a race to the bottom to see who can produce the cheapest garbage people will actually watch.

It does really suck ass that a couple of years ago HBO Max was quite handily my most-used non-anime streaming service and ever since they've cancelled and purged Infinity Train, dropped a bunch of other shows I liked, and now look to be getting ready to scrub off the entire DCAU catalogue. Once BtAS goes the only thing worth still caring about on there will be hoping season 4 of Doom Patrol is better than season 3. ... Which I guess to be fair thus far it is.
