I was actually really sad we didn't get a chance to see this fully play out. Obviously they weren't going to be having five-star classics by that point but just the fact that those two were tag Champs was awesome to me.

It's always embarassing when your aunt gets drunk at a 21st birthday party and takes her top off

it comes with the environment of the profession. Godfather be making sure he gets that cash lol But yes Charlie Haas and Rico were an odd thrown together team I really liked their pairing. Rico had charisma in spades and I thought he did an great job at bringing some personality out of Charlie Haas. I remember one segment where they were teaming for a bit. either Jackie or Rico asked Haas how they looked... and Haas just stared at them and said "Really?" then took a deep breath and started criticizing their outfit with all the little things wrong with it... Haas then stopped mid sentence and said "What the hell am I even talking about?"

Haku just looked like a enhancement talent then and Andre was about as useful as a cardboard cutout. He didn't need it at this time. HBK should have had one last run though. Couldn't disagree more. Andre the Giant, even with his very limited ability to work, was still Andre the Giant, one of the biggest stars in wrestling history. And Tonga could always work, had a good run as King and with the Islanders.

Perhaps a foreshadowing of what happened right after their match with Demolition later that night. To keep up with the thread, I bet nobody remembers Jeff Hardy's run as WWF light heavyweight champion...

Had the titles for a week presumably just to have a TV title change, give Owen something to whine about leading to his heel turn, and to get some more heat on the Quebequers (which admittedly aren’t bad reasons). And despite their very short reign, they actually have a successful title defense on one of the Coliseum Videos. As a kid, I felt that made them feel like more than just a fluke. So strange that Marty Jannetty does have a WWF Tag Team Title reign, but it isn’t with Shawn or even Leif Cassidy. I marked hard for Kid and Jannetty winning the belts. It was definitely one of the best matches during that first year of Raw. I was so disappointed when they lost them just a week later. I didn't know they had a title defense on Coliseum Video. I need to find that one. Any idea what tape that was on? Even in 1994, Jannetty could have clawed it back and be near Shawn's level.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

The build a tournament around him. Could've just made the same storyline in the finals. HHH and Perfect incahoots. HHH wins the tournament. Or if HHH wasn't ready, why not Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Marc Mero in the finals and Austin wins the IC title to win another tournment and build for Bret. Bret "Hit Man" Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin for the Intercontinental Title as a second main event at Survivor Series 1996 would work.
