Yeah,I mean people came out of GotG crying over the death of Groot a character I garauntee they had not heard of before the movie than I saw even having any emotional reaction to Superman's death... Given how many times that Supes has died and been resurrected, the reaction is apathy nowadays to seeing him die. They also didn't give us a reason to care about him over the two movies. He was super cold and uncaring and flat out gave up on Humanity in the middle of Batman V. Superman.

As I've said before in numerous threads, the only thing missing from it was a scene of him cutting himself with razors laced in kryptonite

Yea, no matter how many times he died in comics has no barring on how you should feel about him in the movie Superman dying should mean something and garner some type of reaction. Villains in the MCU have more sympathy then Superman in the movies at this point

Man of Steel was his journey to becoming the boy scout Superman, then BvS is his rejection of it. There wasn't a single film in between with that boy scout, so the entire arc was flat and forced. I'm not sure why this has become such a trend in big franchises, as they're typically afforded the time and number of films to spread things out better.

WB/DC love doing it. they want to get to their BIG MOMENTS... without earning it... I mean BVS has like 3 off the top of my head (And is chock full of others) the death of superman Doomsday the Dark Knight Returns... all of those need f***ing setup...

I demand we get the James Gunn Cut of the Scooby-Doo movies. Didn't he just write the scripts for those? He did, but the movie was originally going to be aimed for adults with a higher rating. They actually were filming when it was decided to be family friendly, which is why the movie still has a lot of adult references. And a lot of cleavage.

Why do people make movies like this if they don't want their "vision" messed with?
If you want to make art, make indie films. If you want to make a movie based on Marvel, DC, or Star Wars, you are just a cog in a machine, and you should be intelligent enough to know that going in.

Even the idea of a pg13 Scooby Doo is pretty dumb.

Even the idea of a pg13 Scooby Doo is pretty dumb. No one seems to understand that if you keep the EXACT tone of the cartoon, it will work. Hell, set it in the 70's just to really go all-out.

I'd be curious to see listed what the differences are between an Ayer cut and the blu ray unrated cut. It's been a while since I saw the theatrical cut, but it seems like there's a decent amount more of the Joker/Harley scenes, which I really enjoyed. I actually really liked Leto's Joker. My biggest issue with the movie is the story in general. The squad basically has to form due to the squad forming. There should've been a different villain instead of Enchantress.

Personally, if I was in charge of editing the movie, I would just straight up cut the first forty minutes of it. It's really poorly paced, not that interesting, and only about 15 minutes of it was necessary to tell the movies story, and those 15 minutes would've worked better cut up and inserted as flashbacks throughout the rest of the film.

Can I get access to all the raw footage from "Bright"? Feel like there's probably an awesome movie there with the right editor.

I'll give him credit for being more open about it than Snyder ever was.

How is it that DC has better character and comics, but they keep hiring shitberg directors?

How is it that DC has better character and movies, but they keep hiring shitberg directors? They don't have anyone who loves the material but also understands how movies work. Ayer can make good movies, but he didn't care about the material. Johns loves the material, but clearly has no talent for film production.
