Personally at this point I believe I should get legal immunity to hit these assholes with a f***ing Tiger Uppercut if they choose to be selfish assholes and then willingly enter my personal space bubble. Enter at your own risk mother f***ers...demilitarized zone ended two feet ago now catch these hands. I don’t even want to have to start throwing haymakers...I don’t wish these people harm. That’s why I do everything I can to NOT get these same people sick while I’m at work or shopping or anything else. I’m just sick of some of these arrogant bastards proving to me they couldn’t care less if I get sick or my family gets sick. It’s bad enough I’ve already missed an extra month of work because the damn children I work with can’t behave and keep getting sick...but I can’t afford to miss 2-4 more weeks of work because of fools that god forbid can’t behave while being drunken assholes. The next time someone stands 3 inches behind me in the clock out queue at work when I'm clearly giving the person in front the full 2 metres, they're getting a back elbow to the head. That’s my idea of social distancing.

VÁ/DC/MD tightening up again. Fully expect another full scale lockdown sooner rather than later. You just know that cases are going to skyrocket after thanksgiving and into Christmas

Coworker tested positive today. Sort of saw it coming. He came to work mad at his roommates because he came home to find them hosting a party the night before. He went straight to his room and barricaded himself away but apparently they managed to get him infected. By extension, those inconsiderate dicks exposed the entire COVID testing staff indirectly.
Thanks a million, assholes.

Pshaw!!! I live in Indiana, where we can have almost 1 million fewer people than that state but yesterday register an impressive 6605 new cases! Wait, did I say impressive? I meant pants-shittingly frightening.

Anyone here live in New Hampshire and hear anything about a "green zone" in your state? Apparently idiot sister-in-law just came back from a trip there where she and several friends stayed in a condo in a "green zone" area. And her and idiot brother are planning on going back there in like a week. Nobody here is happy about it. The next time someone stands 3 inches behind me in the clock out queue at work when I'm clearly giving the person in front the full 2 metres, they're getting a back elbow to the head. heh. I kept seeing this guy at the store Saturday wandering around maskless, and I was going out of my way to avoid walking anywhere close to him. Then while I was waiting for him to move, he started walking towards me to ask if I was in line for the cash register, when I'd already answered him that no, I was not. I grabbed my cart, told him "Sir, stay AWAY from me", spun that cart around and got out of there as fast as I could. It's only ever the maskless people who like getting way too close. Ugh. Oh jeez I know how you feel. Went to Lowes the other day to help pick out a fridge because idiot brother flaked. Dude walks in with no mask, goes right to the department my mom and I were in and just keeps talking to us. Kept his distance, fortunately. Friend he came in was masked, which makes it more mind boggling. No wonder cases here are on the rise.

I need to vent. We have an anti-lockdown group here in Canada, specifically in Ontario, that has been going around from city to city claiming oppression and tyranny by the lockdown measures. Tomorrow, they have my city targetted, and I have to work in the thick of it. The city has sent repeated requests to them to not hold their rally here, but they're trying to claim their right to "peacefully" protest under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Our city has done a fantastic job with COVID measures, having some of the lowest case numbers in the province, and these idiots are coming directly from known hotspots to piss and moan and complain about their rights and to advocate for herd immunity. Words like "oppression" and "tyranny" have been used by people in their circle. Because this is a small city of only about 40,000 people, a potential infection would spread like wildfire. I have rent and bills to pay. I can't afford to lose work over this, but the store I work at has decided to stay open during the rallies when other businesses are closed to protect their employees and customers. Mind you, our store manager tried to make it happen, but corporate overruled him, saying that other businesses being closed would mean more business for us, so they want to stay open. I'm dead serious. If they could just keep the store closed one damn day, we could re-open the next day no harm, no foul. But because they've decided that profit is more important than employees and customer's lives, I potentially have to take the next 2 weeks off of work in case anyone gets infected by the swarms of idiots invading our city. I'm angry that these nutjobs can get away with protesting here in the first place. I'm angry about them endangering me and parts of my family. I'm angry at corporate for not giving two shits about their employees and potentially causing me to miss half a month's salary in income during a month where things are already tight as is. I haven't seen my wife in almost a full year now because of the Canadian/American borders being closed and people like this are only going to drag that time out even further. I'm not in a good place right now, folks. I don't know if I've ever been this thoroughly disgusted and incensed by the outside world. For your entertainment, here's the flyer this group has been passing around for the event on Saturday.

Right now, the pharmacy that I work at is operating with a skeleton crew due to one of the pharmacy workers getting into a car accident and today, I got news that their replacement, who was slated to start tomorrow, was exposed to COVID and is gonna be out for 2 weeks.
Of all the times to do so. it’s happening at the same time when we’re getting swamped with other winter-related illnesses. I am not looking forward to this.

Using the red poppy as their symbol, a few days after Remembrance Day. That may be one of the most tone-deaf things I have ever seen.

Indiana smashed the daily record with just short of 8,500 cases today.
I know people got to eat and pay bills, but opening up everything was a complete disaster.
