Can the Simpsons be my favorite show if there are 2/3rds of the episodes that I actively hate. I was just wondering that about myself and Survivor. At one point I would've considered Survivor & The Simpsons my two favorite tv shows of all time. For the Simpsons, I would likely be still watching episodes of that show if it weren't a shell of a shell of its former self. But I don't know why Survivor doesn't interest me anymore. It's not like the newer seasons are significantly worse, I'm just meh to them now. That brings me to another subject: American Idol. It used to be the biggest show on TV. Then it just tailed off in popularity and it's hard to say why it did. I want to make the case that it really only tapered off because that's just how time goes. Nothing stays popular forever. It's not like Idol did anything wrong over the years really. They even tried to update their voting procedures over time with the advances of technology. I think popularity dropped only because fans eventually said "Nah, I'm good, that's about enough." Again, nothing lasts forever, that's just how it is.

The plot of "The Son of the Mask" Transformers is my favorite franchise ever, and I'm really only interested in G1, Beast Wars, and the Bumblebee movie. That's only actually a small portion of Transformers content. It doesn't keep me up at night though.

I think part of what hurt American Idol was how very few legit stars the show actually made. Other than Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood most people have trouble naming one other winner, let alone one who actually did anything noteworthy. Heck they've probably had more success with people who DIDN'T win and even there it's a steep drop off from Jennifer Hudson.

The possibility that I could die alone and unloved, besides family of course.

That we currently have the power to effectively "end" the Earth with only about 30 seconds of human interaction required. And it's not because of a chain of accidents or bad luck. It's because we've specifically designed it to be possible.

And Kelly and Carrie were the winners of Seasons 1 & 3, for crying out loud. The winners don't do shit. Even the other contestants don't do shit these days, so why is this show still on? I get the audition process can be funny with the bad singers, but to have the show drag on for months to name a winner you'll never hear from again is just crazy to me.

That absolutely nothing truly has any kind of lasting legacy because in the end the world will be destroyed and then the universe itself will follow.

Hey, I’m a typical male, 40-year old Star Wars fan. What more needs to be said?

Would it just be a case of “too much”? You had American Idol and that was all fine and dandy. But then you had X-Factor. Then the Voice. And probably more. Then America’s got talent. Then Dancing with the Stars. Then the Masked Singer. All these panel shows that really don’t offer too much difference between one and another.

That you could wake up one day and while you read through the internet and find a article talking about a actor/author/etc you like either said or did something horrible.
That you could die due to completely random bad luck.
Whether I made sure the door is locked for the night.
What situation I'll be in a year, 5,10,20,etc.
The state of the world.

Why have I emotionally invested myself into football (soccer) so much when in March it became irrelevant in the space of a few days.
