Can the Simpsons be my favorite show if there are 2/3rds of the episodes that I actively hate. The plot of "The Son of the Mask" Transformers is my favorite franchise ever, and I'm really only interested in G1, Beast Wars, and the Bumblebee movie. That's only actually a small portion of Transformers content. It doesn't keep me up at night though. I grew up on the old cartoon in the 80s and the marvel comics (UK and us). Currently adore the Idw stuff (not really read the reboot though). I'm fully aware there's shit loads of other continuities but I'm not going there. People talk about the beast wars stuff being amazing but isnt that the really shitty looking CGI kids show?

The continued elevation of the absolute worst of us by people who seem to be willing to tolerate outrageous behaviour as long as it’s done by “their” side.
Also that music seems be trending way towards being made on laptops rather than with live guitars and drums. Electronic beats just cannot capture that proper metal heaviness.

Yeah, Beast Wars looks like shit now. I probably wouldn't ever rewatch it. I dug it while it was originally on though. And I'm like you. I really dig the US and UK comics, and the IDW ones. I tried the reboot, and didn't even make it all the way through the first issue.

I know it's been said before but you're like some sort of .gif wizard Merged posts: Deep, dark water. Just the idea that there could be some massive creature we've never seen thousands of feet (miles? leagues) under the water gives me the creepy spins lol.

The Bootes void. Voids in general. Just these vast, impossibly f***ing massive sprawls of darkness and nothing, untouched by light, out there so far beyond mortal reach that no one could ever even find them if they tried.

The idea that any kind of societal change for the better is impossible and any effort to effect change is futile.

It's just that idw had built up this amazing universe for what 10, 15 years and then suddenly we had to forget it all. Also they killed Brainstorm in the first issue of the reboot while in the lost light story he was a big character. Felt like a slap in the face. But that's the thing about reboots, good jumping on spots but also good jumping off spots too

That when you fall asleep there could be some guy watching you sleep the whole night and you wouldn't even know it I thought I told Dexter to cut that shit out... I remember when I had come home late as a teen and ' had fallen asleep in living room's sofa. There were Ringu the movie going on background. Almost got a heart attack, when I woke up at someone screaming "What kind of crap are you watching!?!" / In nanoseconds, I saw Sadako (or whatever the "ghost" name was) from television and a screaming monster beside me - that was my mother! That's probably one of the reasons I still hate that movie. Also, my sister used to put his hair down similarly and come at nights to scare the crap out of me.

Not really sure and think that it's existential dread, but whenever I think about it, I feel an odd feeling that when you look at everything in the internet. Like, for example, just posts here or anyone else, that there's a chance they'd remain in some form and decades from now someone would be reading it and the one who posted it is dead.
Like maybe a century or two from now someone might see my posts here or elsewhere being weird about 2D drawings and find it strange, and I won't be there to say why I was being weird about it. The internet could just become one big grave filled with thoughts and opinions of people who are no longer there, accessible to the bored.

The whole humanity might lay someday piled on top of Grand Canyon, but ProBoards will still survive - as it's already ancient alien technology, I'm 100% sure of this. Vsauce (w/ Mind Fields) is quite a channel. I like that videos go thru lots of stuff that boggles my mind sometimes. Does anyone here have any good suggestions for similar but more unknown channels? Would be great as I need something new to watch.

That there's a not-unsubstantial number of people who want to terrorize me or outright kill me solely because of my ethnicity.

Honestly, I think I get more dread from being praised than anything. I just don't know how to handle it. I don't want to come off as having an ego, but I also don't want to appear indifferent. Like, over the last few weeks, I've had some pretty cool things happen to me that I wanted to share on here, but I don't want to come off like I'm bragging about doing good deeds. I have legit lost sleep over this in the past.

Meeting new people, especially a woman that I'm being setup with or am being introduced to as potential romantic interest. I'm 35 and don't have any children. I'm perfectly fine once I'm in a relationship, but those first few meetings are terrible.

Failure. The constant feeling of failure. I'm 42, divorced, childless, and single. There are times that I feel like a failure because of all this.
