If it is over Anderson and Gallows' departure that's a great shame, and he's holding the wrong person accountable. The sad reality is that having arrived with quite a lot of hype surrounding them, they were never booked to their full ability and potential in WWE. Perhaps Heyman could have booked them better (although I do sometimes wonder how much real control he and Bischoff had over their respective shows) but the damage was done already.
So yeah, I think he's angry at the wrong person here.

Heyman looked too globey to AJ's taste, ' could not stand that.

Given Heyman's track record, he likely sold Anderson, Gallows and Styles a fairytale he had no intention of following through on in terms of a push, or told Styles he was going to go to bat for them personally to get Vince to reconsider their firing. He has a long track record of lying to talent, telling them what he needs them to hear then doing what benefits him. ECW was built on that, after all.

Anderson was actually really good in New Japan, he had some good matches and he can talk. He had like 2 good singles matches but a majority of his run was clogging up the tag scene with bad ones. I don’t miss him and Gallows in NJPW at all He is probably coming back to New Japan, but I don't think Gallows is coming with him. The tag team scene in New Japan has largely sucked for quite a while. Personally I think he would be a nice fit for the current Bullet Club as a gatekeeper for Jay White.

If all this true, it says a lot about AJ’s standing in the company. Doesn’t want to work with Heyman, gets moved to SD and soon after Heyman is no longer in charge of Raw.

AJ bounced like one of Heyman's checks.

I wonder if Styles holds it against Heyman that they fired Gallows and Anderson. Like, in the sense of “Well, if you booked them better, then they wouldn’t have been made expendable”. Something along those lines I would think One min they are booked as a decent team and win the tag titles back as soon as they get with AJ and then they lose them and nothing happens Yeah... Heyman was put in late June... they won the Tag Titles on July 29th... and then lost them like a week or two later and then were AJ's Goober friends until Crown Jewel where they won the tag team match... then back to not doing anything (part of this might be because they complained about THAT situation) ... then AJ lost the US title to Rey... and that was kinda it. I can see it be a combination of things. Vince not liking them (especially on the speaking out part) but it's not like they were doing anything beforehand which could be on Heyman's vision or it could be on Vince changing his mind... and let's not act like Heyman hasn't done the same mind trick stuff to people that Vince does.

Yea, could be they were sold a bill of golds that Heyman couldn't deliver on. You're going to be more important I promise. More focus on you as a team and make you a big piece of Raw. Best tag champs in the company. Blah blah etc etc.... Hell, even for AJ i'm sure he wanted to work with guys like Ced and Ricochet and do something with them since he really hasn't worked with a ton of younger guys on the roster and that led to nothing.

While I understand AJ's frustration, I'm not going to hold it against Paul Heyman if he doesn't see a lot of upside in Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Not an excuse. Look at a lot of the hot garbage Heyman booked like they were megastars in ECW. Look at what he did with the likes of Sandman and New Jack. He could have made them look serviceable if he really wanted to.

Didn't Anderson & Gallows want to leave for the longest time? I can see Vince souring on them solely on that, and despite whatever Heyman pushed for them they just meant nothing to Vince because of that past "slight"... so they were AJ lackeys for a while and then dumped as soon as Vince had a reason.

They were saying they weren’t going to sign a new contract after getting offers and then they got paired with AJ again and signed a new contract anyway

There's an upside to almost everyone on the roster. The days of Johnny Ace are long over. Are everyone going to be main eventers? No. But WWE has a roster full of people capable of being valuable pro wrestlers if "crreative" had a clue what they were doing.

Also, like...the company hired them and then re-signed them to new deals later on. They must have seen something in them to both sign and try to keep them around.

Also, like...the company hired them and then re-signed them to new deals later on. They must have seen something in them to both sign and try to keep them around. Chances are what they saw were the letters 'AEW' flashing like a sign on the Vegas strip. They were signed to stop them heading elsewhere. "Horded" would be a better term to use.
