While I understand AJ's frustration, I'm not going to hold it against Paul Heyman if he doesn't see a lot of upside in Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. You can argue that Gallows and Anderson are nothing special but he flaw in that logic is that Heyman has long had this reputation as some kind of creative genius who can get the most out of subpar talent. If that were the case, he could have found a way to book them well and keep them as a sustained threat.

Also, like...the company hired them and then re-signed them to new deals later on. They must have seen something in them to both sign and try to keep them around. Chances are what they saw were the letters 'AEW' flashing like a sign on the Vegas strip. They were signed to stop them heading elsewhere. "Horded" would be a better term to use. Oh sure, around January 2019, that was the reason they wanted to keep them. 2016, though? I mean, you could argue they wanted to hurt New Japan but on the flip side of that, there was probably a reason they wanted to sign them in a first place and some idea of what they can do, Gallows in particular. And yes, the answer probably is "Talent relations does a bad job at being talent relations" but it's just...so weird. And then it ends up with us fans thinking they're useless when that can be completely controlled by those in charge.

Heyman: "AJ, I wanna give you the WWE Championship and have you defend it against people from all over the globe!" AJ: "What the H is a globe?!" What can I possibly add to this? I just wanted the honor of replying to this legendary post.

I also wonder if Heyman was the one that decided hey lets make hte Taker vs. AJ feud have a key portion be about Michelle McCool...
I mean why have the Phenom vs. Phenomenal One things be brought up when you can bring up that Michelle McCool used AJ's finisher like ... 10 years ago.

Tho in fairness, they kind of started that with Cena in terms of "humanizing" Taker in bringing up his wife. Cena said something to the effect of I know you're making a comeback because you posting up videos of you training on your wife Instagram The stuff with AJ just took it further and basically killed the middle man

AJ and I are similar because we left Raw in similar ways. He left because of Heyman and I left because Hey man it sucks. The snark is strong in this thread!

Just saying how funny and ridiculous it is for Taker and AJ to squabble over that move when somebody who was super over back in the day did it too.
