I like to base my opinions on facts, & I don't know any facts of the case apart from what both parties have stated as so. However, the one thing I am at least prepared to cut some slack on (if true) is him saying he didn't know how young she was. I have been in a situation before when I was in a nightclub & I got close with a girl, only to find out later that she was 17 (I was 25).
The reaction of a lot of my friends was "So what? She's legal!" (Age of consent in the UK is 16, but the drinking age is 18). But I felt quite uncomfortable about it. But I can say, hand on heart, in that moment I would never have guessed for a moment she was that young. And ok, we were in the dark & had been drinking, but my friend was taking pictures on his new phone all night, & looking back at those pics, neither of us would've put her a day under 21.
There's also the situation where, because alcohol is involved, you kind of naturally assume they are of age. Because bartenders can lose their jobs & even their licenses if they serve underage people, you kind of think anyone drinking or in a bar must be old enough.
Like I said, I like to base things on facts, & for all I know, Scurll could be full of it. But I heard on Wrestling Observer Radio the line "c'mon, how didn't you realise that she was only 16?" And honestly, that's one part of the story I can at least believe.

Fair enough, but it's a good thing in this case other people on Twitter have similar questions... As I said, I like to base my opinions on the facts, of which I have very little in this situation. If what she is saying is true, then obviously that's a massive blow, but in the interests of fairness (and I think it's always important to be fair) Scurll says in his statement that he didn't, & I have no proof either way. I wasn't echoing the statement of that guy saying she 'baited' him (seriously, screw that guy) but rather refuting the notion I heard from Tom Lawlor that you can immediately tell when someone is young or not.

Yeah, the guy that asked that question to her was totally out of line. You were not. I just wanted to point out that Marty definitely knew the girl's age, and it wasn't just the case that they met at an after-party and attempted to hook up.

They say they have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of behavior. What kind of behavior? Because if it's having sex with a sixteen year old, you don't need to investigate.

Seriously get rid of the Briscoe brothers while they’re at it.

Seriously get rid of the Briscoe brothers while they’re at it. The absolute slap in the face that they've got a Pride Rainbow version of their logo on Twitter and they still employ people who tweeted about shooting gay people.

Doesn’t really matter if it’s legal or not, if you are hanging out with a drunk 16 year old and having her perform sexual acts on you when you are well into your 20s....you can’t bullshit your way out of that. It’s a shitty thing to do. No excuses. Wether or not he should be sacked for it, I’m not sure but he should absolutely be condemned and really think about his position.

And even if not, find it hard to believe that only one of them thinks that way. That would be like thinking that even though Don Harris had an SS tattoo, for all we know, his identical twin brother is a paragon of tolerance.

However, I'm pretty sure Mark Briscoe has had his moments as well. Jay's been more vocal, but I thought I remembered Mark grabbing a Pride flag from a fan and wiping his ass with it.

Yeah he stole someone's pride flag in Manchester and used it to choke someone in a match, then started kicking it around. That was 2 years ago.

Scurll should've already been kicked to the curb. It's really pathetic that he's still employed.
