I can't get over the brass neck on Joey, approaching members of the AEW locker room through a third party while suing Penelope Ford.

While all this has been making the news it seems that his lawsuit against Allie Kat was won by default after she failed to respond. Since then all of her social media accounts have been nuked.
Scumbag.

That's what he's relying on, talent not being able to afford to fight him in the venue of his choosing. He's shown what a 'good christian man' he's become by getting revenge on the people he harmed for speaking out.

So he doesn't just want to be seen as a sex offender. He wants to pile on being a fraud to that dung heap.
Does he plan to sue AEW and somehow hope they try to settle out of court with him for a lot of money? Because he'll easily get run into the ground before they settle.

I'd say it's unlikely as he knows he'd be murdered by legal fees if it made it near a court. He's a coward and a bully, he's only going after the accusers he thinks may struggle to afford their day in court. He'll probably make threats on Parler, get cheered on by Drake Wuertz and others, but it'll go nowhere.

Scumbag. This is not correct. The lawsuit WENT TO COURT due to failure to respond. And then Ryan dropped it for reasons unknow, could be a settlement or he decided it wasnt worth it

I have a sinking feeling that Joey wanted that show to that he really is losing money because of the "allegations". Dude is just that scummy

And Joey has now deleted all of his tweets. I'd say nothing of value was lost, but that seems like the kind of thing a really guilty person would do to cover their damning evidence.. I mean It's the internet nothing is ever deleted forever. Even if no one screen capped them (and I doubt that), they're still on Twitter's servers somewhere.

Yeah, as weird as it is to tinfoil hat this up, this all feels so easy and so dunkable that I have to side with the idea that this was all intentionally rigging up a situation where he can deepen the post on damages, in which case Tony Khan's really glorious response may have just played into his hands in the most clear and concise form he can ask for.

As an attorney who's worked with abuse victims and multi-national corporations, I would 1000 times more prefer people like Tony Khan stand up against abusers, and show the world it is not ok to let scumbags like Ryan back in, then sit around worrying what kind of defense Joey Ryan MIGHT make in court. Yeah he's saying that he's lost wages because of what happened, but he also sexually assaulted women for years and that by itself is cause for not being booked. That's the argument in court. He didn't have anyone "play into his hands", he just came off looking like an idiot who has no chance of working in wrestling again. And if it goes to court, he still has multiple women who have made allegations that he sexually assaulted them, and he would have to prove they're lying, and the people who called him out were lying, before the court would care about his lost wages arguments. Edit: Just saw this; www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2021/02/joey-ryans-lawsuit-against-several-accusers-dismissed/Joey Ryan's arguments are a joke and have already been dismissed. He doesn't have hands to play into, he just is paying lawyers to harass wrestlers into staying silent. Thank goodness Tony Khan didn't stay silent. I also just gave to Pelle Primeau, because he's just being bullied by Ryan, and it has nothing to do with arguments or anything, it just has to do with hurting people financially with frivolous lawsuits.

Oh yeah no I'm in no way saying he should have stayed quiet; this needed to be rebuked and it needed to be done so publicly. Tony Khan calling this much attention to it led to the show losing people and a platform very quickly, and even outside of Joey Ryan, it seems like this charity was a fraudulent shitshow anyway. This show should not have gone on and I am very glad that it was publicly shunted in a way that derailed Joey Ryan's blatant attempt to stealth redeem himself. Khan had a widespread industry and fanbase platform to get this story immediate attention that helped get it rolling and he in all ways should have said it. I'm only expressing concern that along with that rightful and necessary shutdown is now the seeds for him to weaponize the show's failure against the accusers. Both sentiments can exist at the same time.

I will say, Impact firing him, Fite.tv saying the show being on their platform was false, and in general so many people speaking out, there is a lot of material already out there, and eventually the avalanche against him will make him weaponizing the consequences more and more difficult. But of course, he still can.

Yeah, so far he seems to be making it clear that he’s only filed the lawsuits in some attempt to clear his name and get people to stand down (or his lawyer started asking for money upfront to put in the work and Ryan wasn’t interested in that).. Allie Kat didn’t respond to the suit against her and default was entered against her, but instead of trying to press the issue any further, he dismissed the case. This lawsuit you linked to appears to have been dismissed for Ryan’s failure to prosecute the claim (essentially he filed the suit and then did nothing else after). I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of them end up the same way. The only one that I would expect him to pursue further would be the breach of contract case against Impact/Anthem.

Apparently some of the sites that break news are saying there had been rumblings that Joey was planning a stunt of booki g a show and having a front promoter.
Also many wrestlers who agreed to appear were lead to believe that the Joey appearing at the show was Janela and not Ryan
