Even if they overturn it, at least he has served some justice. Not that I hope that happens or anything, but he can't get that time back at least. Exactly, 2 years in jail isn't anything to sneeze at, especially for someone as ancient as him It sucks in this case since I believe he did it, although if he was illegally sentenced it would set a bad legal precedent to allow that to stand If he did even a quarter of the things he was accused of he got off lucky, but he didn't exactly get away with it* (It meaning the charge he was actually convicted of, not all that other stuff) Yet Victor Salva only served 15 months of his 3 year sentence for his crime and had a career. Shows how much the justice system works Language yew know

Phylicia Rashad's tweet about this was pretty callous to all of this.

yes, i for one am glad the courts are going to hold with society's reasonable expectations that prosecutors and the criminal justice system not go after people for criminal activity That's not what the decision was saying, that's a shitty misquote meant to provoke this (justified) outrage. The initial agreement that the DA's office made gave Cosby immunity, which is a very common and important part of the judicial system. The current DA not following the terms of that agreement is a display of pure incompetence, and a miscarriage of justice for the victims more than anything. from Justice Kevin Dougherty's concurring/dissenting opinion: so no, i stand by my sarcastic quote of not wanting the criminal justice system to go after criminals. granting immunity is indeed an important part of the criminal justice system, however it is usually given to the smaller fish to catch the bigger fish. in this case it was given to the only fish, and it was wrong and did nothing for the victims. furthermore, its usually put in writing and not "Hey bro, you seem cool, so how 'bout I don't prosecute" with no one and nothing around to document it and indeed there was a display of pure incompetence and miscarriage of justice by a DA, but not by the one who actually did his job and went after Cosby. it was his starf***er predecessor that decided ol' Bill "would not be prosecuted no matter what" "for all time".

I want to say i'm disappointed in some of their responses to him getting out but nothing can clear ignorance. If you want to support the man, so be it but he is an old fool who thinks he did nothing wrong and that shit ain't flying
They going be the same people celebrating if R Kelly got out of jail and saying he was done wrong. It is deplorable

Everyone involved f***ed up. Caster's a clown for all the reasons we can't talk about, and the current DA should have not used anything from the civil trial (which was only part of their case against Cosby). The major issue is why is a DA allowed to give these get out of jail free cards for a civil trial where it was a known fact that other victims existed.

Legally it's probably the correct decision.
Morally it is absolutely f***ing disgusting how some are treating this as him being exonerated.

Hopefully there's no rule against what goes around comes around, coming around again.
As for Rashad, can we please stop marking out for people we worked with or grew up watching? Sadly, us as wrestling fans should know that this is a BIG problem (coughBENOITcough), and leads to us not recognizing the very human flaws of these people, and heaven forbid, when they make a horrendous mistake or act.
Nostalgia is nice and I am a big fan, but you gotta put it out to pasture sometimes.
I'm glad not everyone buys into it and have had more reasonable reactions. And they're not even just celebrities/people who lean one way or the other. Sad that it takes THIS to get Americans to agree about something, mostly.

'Cancel culture' and #MeToo have evidently gone too far, from what I hear
Which is why a decades-seasoned date rapist got sent to prison in his 80s, and lived to get out of jail again

1) Things like this are why so many people have no faith in western justice systems.
2) Twitter is a cesspool.
3) Bruce Castor is truly a special kind of incompetent.

Well as if it couldn’t get any lower, my faith in the court system has pretty much cratered. I was actually just reading some details of what happened here, that prosecutor did multiple things that aren't supposed to fly in our court system, unfortunately there are rules.

All the organisations that shunned him should continue to do so. A legal technicality shouldn't be enough to change that. It's like being arrested with human heads in the fridge but being released because the cops lost some paperwork. Let him dwell among the cretinous "justice for Bill!" community on YouTube and social media.
