You would think anything over couple thousand could be something authorities would at least want to do a report on. LOL.

But, the physical belt is the property of Impact... Y'see, that's what I figured. All the more reason I need official verification that this is what happened. Let me find out, on top of everything that has happened surrounding Tessa Blanchard, they actually let her unstable ass take the official physical belt to Mexico. The Tessa Blanchard saga would have officially reached LOLTNA levels not seen since the Hogan/Bischoff era.

Can some crime expert at FAN tell me if it is possible to steal bunch of money and just chill in Mexico, I thought that was a movie cliche.

I really don't understand why, in this day and age, companies still let wrestlers take belts home with them.

This reminds me of the story Tully told on the Horsemen DVD some years ago. When told Crockett didn't have the money to pay their contracts Tully and Arn simply told Crockett "Where do you want the belts?" As in he simply wanted to drop the tag titles at the next possible opportunity and leave for the WWF. So even Tully didn't hold up a promoter over returning a title belt.

You might have found my lay low place and might have bribed couple cops. But I won the thing fair and square in a wrestling contest! Don't even try to put me under the bridge, judge!

For an extra layer of irony (and LOLTNA value), someone on Reddit pointed out that TNA/Impact was in part funded by money Jeff Jarrett earned by holding WWE up for their Intercontinental Championship. So there's certainly precedent for this sort of thing. Not WhatCulture, but Cultaholic's source for this is "Belt Fan Dan" making the claim on Twitter. And while the guy doesn't exactly seem to be full of shit and certainly seems clued up (as you might expect) on 'belt news', I'm not sure if we'd consider him a credible source for this one, I dunno. Probably a case of wait and see before we wade in on this one I guess. As an aside, Belt Fan Dan also has interesting news about Moose's replacement belt Jeff Jarrett didn’t “hold up WWF” for money. His contract expired, and he made sure all his bonus money was paid out as he left instead of the usual quarterly cheques where there might suddenly be some funny accounting screwing him out of a significant amount of money.

Would it be fair to say that Tessa is more shoot out of control than Brian Pillman at this point?

Maybe in reality it was just 150 dollars Tessa asked for, to buy a full month worth of crisp bread, canned moose and tobacco to survive in jail.

I really don't understand why, in this day and age, companies still let wrestlers take belts home with them. If Tessa is working for a promotion in Mexico that's actively partnering with Impact, it makes sense for her to bring the belt and enter as the Impact World champion.

My god, Tessa really is going the route of Teddy Hart, an extremely talented wrestler who just keeps proving herself to be a colossal wanker! Only her breakdown seems to be going at a faster pace!

No clue if there’s any truth to trying to hold them up for money to return the belt, but you’d have to think that there would be some verbiage in the contract that says that the belt or other company property must be returned when asked or breach of contract or something similar.

Maybe Tessa is covering for the fact she left the belt in a rent-a-car at the Longhorn Steakhouse!

It not that. The problem is that impact and NJPW are having bootleggers illegally make them belt that they dont even own the right too. There a reason why in the last decade, WWE been designing their own belts. Another thing is bootleg belt are not decent replica. Their very poorly/cheaply made belts that look like shit.

She's going to bring the belt to NXT and throw it in a garbage.

I'm going to call bull on the belt being held hostage because the moment Tessa does that Anthem would slap Tessa with a lawsuit right away

Something that caught my eye tonight is that Moose's white strap belt seems flatter than the one he had previously. Like the Pakistani bootlegger used a thinner plate to skimp on costs.
