I'm late to this thread, but reading the report really does come across as "Status update - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

So, reading between the lines here... Sane is homesick and wants to go home to her partner, and while things like booking and injuries haven’t helped, they may not necessarily be as much of a factor as it appears on the surface. To put it another way, it’s the kind of stuff that wasn’t exactly convincing her to stay more than it is stuff that is making her want to leave.

And its very possible the upcoming tapings are her last ones with the company. I just hope WWE lets her leave with her head held high. And if she isn't leaving for a bit, give her all the dream matches she wants in WWE before heading out. She has not once complained about her booking or status in the company and a lot of people supposedly like her.

I mean I hoped her WWE run would have ended better than it has(injuries etc) but as a fan once she got married at the end of last year and her husband is in Japan then her time in America and WWE was on borrowed time. Now, WWE have not handled the nia jax issue at all well but it seems once the name WWE is involved they are wholly to blame regardless of the issue in some people's eyes. WWE should be called out on shit they do but this imo is bad timing of an injury coupled with what was going to happen anyway.

As soon as she got married it was only a matter of time until she rolls out. Good for her for going to be happy instead of staying in the WWE and continuing to be ground into dust with the promise of a handful of dirt and some magic beans.

Actually sounds like WWE wanted to help her out, keep her contracted and thus paid, and get her working for them on promotion and recruitment in Japan.
Sounds like a good idea to me.

Is She one of the female Japanese talents that just flat out hates living in Florida? I remember reading something about that a while back.

He main roster run wasn’t great. She was always eating the pinfalls in tag matches to keep Asuka strong, or being used for heat against who ever Asuka was feuding with.
I really thought she was benched because the company deemed her injury prone, even though her injuries were either freak accidents like in TLC, or during matches with unsafe workers like Jax.
It would have probably been Blazler to take her out leading to a title match with Asuka at Summerslam.
I understand her wanting to go back to Japan. But I’d love for AEW to pay her some big bucks to hang around America a little longer.

Ah, glad she's leaving due to happiness rather than unhappiness. Nothing like love to change your life. Go back to Japan and be happy Kairi. Thank you for all you've done.

No doubt that is on WWE's mind...because if leaves WWE only for AEW to somehow throw a deal at her so good where she can be the big name their womens division really needs while giving her a schedule that allows her to spend alot more time with her husband that would be pretty huge. But if Kairi flat out just wants to wrestle for just one more year and then retire than there is really no deal to change her mind and whatsver she chooses to do should be towards her own happieness.

Nia is gonna throw her into a fridge.
This is a reference to her time in Chikara as Merlok.
What do you mean that wasn't her?

Part of me is hoping that Kairi pulls a Moxley and jumps ship (no pun intended), but if this really is it for wrestling career, then it's a damn shame. I mean it's good that she wants to devote more time to her husband but Christ, WWE screwed her up at pretty much every opportunity after the first Mae Young Classic. Used in NXT primarily to put over Shayna, then used as a glorified jobber on the main roster, and then the final indignity - her final match ending with an injury at the hands of a talentless oaf like Nia. Example #8952 of "WWE taking a can't-miss prospect and missing with them."

This is so disappointing as Kairi is one of my favorites but at least it is her decision. I can't really be too angry about it ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)
