Well, who knows what the f*** they’re doing, then? For all we know at this point, Kairi Sane could be beating Drew McIntyre for the world title, like.

It could be her being about to leave, it could be them trying to not to spoil her making a save when Bayley and Banks inevitably try to take down Asuka two-on-one and set up a tag match for the week after where they actually write her out. I don’t know. ...Or singles match against Banks. Close enough.

Would not be shocked if this new "big" deal is a guaranteed championship reign, top billing for a bit, and probably offering to relocate her husband to the US (if she accepts it and desires it).

WWE with the ole....we really wont know what we have till it is too late.
I hope she stays but also wont blame her for putting her personal happieness at the forefront as she should.
But we knew this is what WWE was going to do...they are gonna offer her everything they believe she wants untill she signs a new deal and then it will be right back to the forgotten pile like with any and everyone else.

From my historical understanding you give Pirates what they want or ye be walking the plank and be dinner for the Sharks by morning

I would pay good money to see Kairi take the belt from Bayley.

Selfishly I want to her to back to Japan where she can have way better singles matches, hopefully as a freelancer given the number of possibilities, but if it’s the difference between a huge accommodating offer by WWE and like, Stardom before retiring, her health and happiness, whichever choice prioritizes health and happiness is the best.

I refer to my previous ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I mean, really, I can't say if it's legit or not, but if you're trying to cover your ass for a overreach then the old "oh, they suddenly came in with a much better offer" routine is a trusty one.

Worth noting the only person who has said Kairi is done soon with WWE is Dave. And his track record regarding joshi stories is very poor.

I think that if Kairi is legitimately homesick and wanting to be with her husband, neither of which seems to be in any sort of dispute, then it may not matter what WWE does with her. Booker T was the top face on Raw, and he still wanted to retire before Sharmell was on the road with him for the King Booker run. It's not like she's been treated like chopped liver, even if the Nia matches probably haven't helped matters any, or when she got hurt versus Becky and Charlotte. At a certain point, it's about more than money and accolades. "very poor" is overstating things, but it does seem pretty apparent he has way less sources who know what the deal is with the women than the men. That, and WWE's kind of legendary for leaving things in flux until the last minute, probably with the women even more than the men outside of a scattered few.

That, and WWE's kind of legendary for leaving things in flux until the last minute, probably with the women even more than the men outside of a scattered few. Kairi's status in WWE isn't as cut and dry as people seem to think it is, according to Fightful. Sean Ross Sapp reiterated last night during the RAW review that her contract status is complicated right now. Not that its lapsing soon and that she has no plans to sign a new deal. And if the TalkSport guy is correct, then I would not be shocked at all if WWE offers to relocate her husband to the US if she desires. They did the same thing with Shinsuke and his spouse. They found his wife a job over here, and took care of all the paperwork to clear the way to get her over here. And I don't think saying that Dave's credibility is "very poor" in regards to contract status stories or joshi stories is overstating things. He's made some really big mistakes. Him swearing up and down until she actually signed that Io was never going to join WWE (citing that her neck and heart were too messed up), and the Hazuki/Kagetsu and STARDOM situation was another huge black mark on his record (he claimed the parting/retirement was mutual and cordial, but Hazuki and Kagetsu both disputed that, pretty much shooting on STARDOM and Bushiroad after Hazuki retired). As for the Kairi missing her husband thing, while that seems feasible and could easily be believable, Dave is almost certainly making assumptions there. He took what Kidani said in a casual interview with the Japanese media and decided to run with it. Kidani wants Kairi and Io back in STARDOM and is willing to make them an offer once their contracts lapse. However, Kairi has explicitly stated in an interview at the beginning of the year (shortly after she got married) that she loves wrestling, and her husband is very supportive of her career in WWE, and that she loves working in the company. tl;dr: Dave might be right. But his credibility is very sketchy when it comes to stories regarding women's wrestling, doubly so when it involves Japanese talents considering he has pretty much zero sources and has been fed a lot of bad info (or even worse, just made it up) in the past.
