I think Abadon was protected fine, honestly. Shida slammed her head into the metal barricades repeatedly, superplexed her, and Abadon still wasn't done yet. They'll meet again, even if Deonna, Tay, etc, will get a shot first. Guessing that if the title has changed hands by that time, especially, Abadon will prevail.

According to Meltzer, there are people in AEW that want to bring Tessa.
One word: Why?

She's been a cancer and poison everywhere she's been. Why on Earth would they risk it?

According to Meltzer, there are people in AEW that want to bring Tessa. One word: Why? Seriously. What needle is she going to move? Their roster is shaping up into a decent one (especially if they can lock down Ashley Vox, Allysin Kay, Elayna Black, and Lady Frost while continuing to develop KiLynn King, Dani Jordyn, Katalina Perez, and Lindsay Snow); she isn't actually a big mainstream name; she has very bad PR attached to her. They'd be better off grabbing someone who is reliably good than trying to chase excellence at the cost of Tessa.

Its like some people from managament feel that they can tame her like they did it with Ivelisse (who still has a grudge with her.), and she still brings star power to the women division.

She has a lot of friends and supporters in every major company still. I was having conversation on another board earier today about Marty, cause its the same thing with him. I'm not excusing anything Tessa or Marty have done, but its interesting to see how their peers react.
Anyways only fued left for Shida is Baker and shes busy with Rosa for a few more weeks. Theres others but they are green as grass or not all that interesting outside of a two week program. Tessa can jump right into the mix.
I'm happy with the progress the girls on Dark are making and talent like Tay and Anna Jay are improving. But they still need a top talent to debut or return, Riho can't get here soon enoough.

Which...I guess I can see in some ways? Like, she did attract interest to Impact and she is a good worker and would add something more substantial to the division... If you also ignore, like...*waves arms around*

These people in both WWE and AEW need to wise up when it comes to Tessa.

Deonna seriously made the right choice choosing Impact. If she pops into AEW now, it's as a challenger to the belt that people will be ecstatic to see. If she'd debuted for AEW right after her release, she'd be unlikely to be much higher up the card than Tay Conti is right now.

AEW are aware that Impact put their world title on Tessa and she refused to record promos remotely on her phone?
That's the men's title, not the women's one, lads.
Like, she is clearly a racist bag of shit of a human anyway, but it's like... she's an atrocious professional even if you ignore the insanely high level of racism.
Big Swole was calling Hogan out on social media openly, is she going to be totally fine with Tessa showing up?

I remember her saying something about that - but then Tessa has on social media only ever denied that the incident ever took place whatsoever, so I really don't know how well that's going to go down when being in the same locker room.

Big Swole was calling Hogan out on social media openly, is she going to be totally fine with Tessa showing up? Pretty much. Even though it’s hard to ignore the racism and the fact she’s learned nothing from literally everyone involved telling her “You were racist, I was there and saw you do it”, she is pretty much dictionary definition of a prima donna and for a growing promotion, that’s a hassle that doesn’t seem to be that worth it to even attempt. Like, I can get there’s a limiting amount of names out there in the indies to sign in America and NXT UK is sucking up every UK and Irish woman so you can rule that out, there are better investments you can make.

I think the fact Swole and others seem pretty vocal about stuff on social media, and I assume in turn the backstage area, that they'll take the temperature of the room so-to-speak before making a move. I have faith in AEW and Tony Kahn that if they did sign her, it would be with approval from those in the back and with a short AF leash on her.

Like, I can get there’s a limiting amount of names out there in the indies to sign in America and NXT UK is sucking up every UK and Irish woman so you can rule that out, there are better investments you can make. Hell, here's a Top Ten Indy Wrestlers They Could Plausibly Bring In Instead of Tessa (excluding anyone who has appeared for AEW in any capacity): 1. Hyan - can carry just about anyone to a decent match, has a great range of offense including two very good finishers, plays a great arrogant heel. 2. Rok-C - y'know how Kenzie Paige is really good for someone just out of high school? For my money, Rok-C is better. 3. Holidead - probably a foregone conclusion that she's coming in, anyway, since AEW seems happy to give Dark spots to Thunder Rosa's crew - so her best friend is probably a lock. But that's not to say she'd be just a nepotism hire, she's strong enough in the ring to hold her own. 4. Willow Nightingale - just had a banger with Holidead, great look, great power, charismatic. 5. Trish Adora - solid but unspectacular, but solid is important. 6. Allie Kat - given she seems to laugh about the idea that she and MJF have lingering drama, I would be surprised if she doesn't get there eventually. Probably would already be in AEW if she hadn't taken a ten-minute retirement as AEW started up. 7. Davienne - a few people here felt that Dark Order could use a woman with a personality similar to John Silver's, and Davienne is that woman. A short, broad brawler with a ton of personality, and also has enough chemistry with Leyla Hirsch and Ashley Vox to add another bit to BTE. Speaking of... 8. Delmi Exo - much like Holidead, practically inevitable if AEW signs Ashley Vox. Snaps up the top women's tag team on the indies, and she's a good hand on her own. 9. LuFisto - someone who could easily shore up Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero's stable with a solid veteran presence. 10. Laynie Luck - not as good in the ring as any of the above (maybe tied with Trish Adora, but Adora goes for doing what she can well, Laynie can overreach her physical abilities at times), but charisma and a marketable gimmick go a long way. Throw her at the bottom of the card as an investment. This has been an excessive post, but....I want to emphasize the degree to which, if they brought in Tessa Blanchard, they would be choosing Tessa Blanchard. I didn't even run out of names with the list above. Obviously, any one of them could be nonviable for reasons that are invisible to fans...but all of them seems unlikely.

Tessa may play ball the first three weeks. But the first moment she's told something she doesn't like she'll take her gear and go home

Tessa's too high a risk
Honestly her and WWE would be made for each other with their egos. AEW may need more women's division depth, but Tessa's way too much of a risk.

Her dad is there, maybe they figure - and indeed he might be telling them - that he can influence and 'control' some of her bad habits.
I've only seen clips of her from Impact on Youtube, so I'd like to see her show up somewhere, be it AEW or WWE, and I'd like to see what she can do longform, and the backstage gossip could be fun
