To be clear, the Observer just said there are people in AEW who would love to have her, not necessarily someone in management. I'm sure Tessa has friends in a lot of companies. The fact is that if anyone in power wanted her, she'd be there already.

It legit say something when the number 1 NWA and Four Horsemen fanboy who has Flair's old NWA belt hanging above his bed doesn't want anything to do with you. Hopefully AEW doesnt make the same mistake that Impact did.

WWE's women's division is so stacked and built up with a pecking order that if Tessa ended up there, it's pretty much a guaranteed "f*** around and find out" situation with her. Maybe she matures, but it's more likely she tries to big league someone like Charlotte Flair, Io Shirai, or Sasha Banks which would be both hilarious and sad.

I think she'd be more detrimental to AEW because it doesn't have as much of an established division with veteran presence.

it's hard for AEW they don't have many. there best females besides Shida is Thunder Rosa and anybody they've had on from NWA. So i don't blame them for not forcing more matches out there. Not every company has to have a strong woman's division.

AEW focuses on Tag, WWE focuses on Women. That's fine. AEW's best hope if they even want women is if there is an agreement with Impact and they get those females.

That's been my position since she was fired from Impact. In WWE, she'd basically be forced to straighten up. AEW doesn't have those women in the locker room that can get her to do that, at least none that I think could get Tessa to listen. With AEW too, their usual MO is to bring someone new in who has a name, they give them a bit of a run, then put them in a title feud and usually, they lose. I can see Tessa really balking at that and throwing a fit over it.

i don;t think aew would even want to give tessa the "5 appearance starter" offer like they gave cordona/ryder when he had his appearances if even to just see if she can avoid ticking off the locker room for that short amount of time.

Given the world title was on the last show, that'd be a nonsensical argument to make as it's a two-night event.

It's been a while since they were spotlighting just the NWA title and not the AEW title

Plus, this NWA title match is a pretty clear "Shoot, we need a match with stakes now that Rosa's not going to be here" fill-in match. (It probably would have happened regardless, just a week or two later.)

Road to building up the NWA womens title was great, gave us Tay backstory, and TayJay development, even Serena mic work was fairly good.

Tay vs Serena was really good, it was so good that even JR praised it, JR out all people

On the other hand Jade is still rough on the mic despite having a great presence(she made Velvet look tiny), Rosa vs Britt at Beach Break should be good.

So, here's where I am with having more faith in things going forward:

They used a Cody interview at the top of the hour to promote a Red Velvet match and a Britt Baker/Thunder Rosa blowoff match.

That is what I would call evidence of effort.

Oh, and the same segment had Ashley Vox and Davienne in the background, suggesting that AEW is taking a very serious look at both.

Like...we might, in fact, finally see a dam burst in terms of talent depth. At this point, they absolutely have the ability to put Impact's women's roster to shame, as long as the women's booking can catch up to the men's in quality.
