I feel like it's pretty hard to argue with Great Balls of Fire (if only for all of the giant EAT BALLS text all night), but there's certainly no shortage of WWE options.
Shout out to Hardcore Justice for a non-WWE example. Especially how for some reason they stuck with this title for six years.

It's not really funny, but I still can't believe WWE straight up named a PPV "Fatal Four Way." It's probably the single most uninspiring name they have ever used, taking a match that's generally seen as an excuse for an indecisive finish (or, worse, pointless filler) and trying to sell a show with it like they have Hell in a Cell and TLC.

I'm still baffled by the fact they had a demonstration four way on Raw, I guess for anyone willing to drop $60 on a PPV who had never heard of an incredibly commonplace match type before, and for all their, "THE CHAMPION CAN LOSE THE BELT WITHOUT BEING PINNED, IT'S SUCH A DISADVANTAGE (even though they literally have the exact same odds as everyone else and everyone else is fighting under the same conditions)," nonsense, they had the champion be the one pinned. Way to sell the unpredictability?

Stomping Grounds is one of the worst. It would kind have made sense if the show were in Madison Square Garden or even Connecticut, maybe, but, it was in Washington. Washington, DC, maybe? No, Washington state. There is quite literally no relevance.
Shoutout to WWE also passive-aggressively naming most of their big UK shows that were like Revolution, Insurrection, etc. Like, we get it, the US did revolt against the UK many, many years ago. It's just strange.

Wrestlemania. Took Hulkamania and put Wrestle in front of it. But hey, it worked. At the time I thought it was uninspired and a Starrcade rip off, but hey, Edison and Tesla, right?

G**** B*** O* F*** simply because I still have a f***ing ranting fit every time I see that goddamned f***ing stupid name pop up anywhere. It was so f***ing bad it ruined a goddamned good song for me and having to hear about it every f***ing week on WWE programming drove me up a f***ing wall every single f***ing time they used that stupid f***ing name and-
Sorry about that.
Anyway, I probably would hate Bound For Glory less if it had been a Rumble-esque PPV and not TNA's WM equivalent.

Final Resolution.
Not necessarily because it’s a bad name on it’s own. More so because TNA used it as the first PPV of the year. When I hear the word final I equate it to the last of something not the first.

Its been 20 years, but I always hated New Blood Rising.
I don't have many rules for PPV names, but they shouldn't end in gerunds.

In Your House
Everything about it was dumb, including the little cartoon intros with the IYH logo entering a house through the window and sitting in the easychair to watch TV, not to mention the IYH theme music. It was just lame, especially for the mid 90's when everything was going edge.

No, Washington state. There is quite literally no relevance. Stomping Grounds would have made sense if they had played up the Seth Rollins connection at all. However, the marketing for the show was centered around Roman Reigns for some reason. This despite Seth actually main eventing the show.

I was on the network today and they list it as "The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules" and it felt like a gut punch.

TNA had a ton that sounded like porno movies. Even Impact sounds sexual.

I always found Takeover: R Evolution to be a terrible name. It's rather awkward typing it out, but it's a pun on Revolution and Our Evolution. It works with the faux underground style of NXT.

A lot of early to mid 2000s WWE PPVs. Great Balls of Fire is a terrible name but at least it sticks in your memory. Who's gonna remember WWE VENGEANCE, or JUDGEMENT DAY or NO MERCY. I think No Mercy is better remembered as the name of the freaking N64 game than the post-Summer Slam holding pattern PPV.
