I am just thinking if this is the end of this ROH like what kind of restructure are they wanting to go for and honestly the only one in my head that would make any sense if they are no longer gonna be a pure wrestling company seems unlikely considering Sinclair has always been seen as being very hesitent to pump any major money into ROH.
And with their bad baseball investment going belly up that makes me feel it is even more unlikely this new direction is one where they will be putting more money into it but who knows what deals have been taking place behind closed doors so.

New Japan doing the cross promotion with Impact this year had me thinking that perhaps they were just branching out beyond ROH (and perhaps still miffed about G1 Supercard), but now I'm wondering if perhaps certain parties had an inkling this was coming. They crossed with AEW as well. It seems like NJPW was moving on regardless but this situation just ends it I think. This news is just wow. Make me wonder who will end up were and who does come back in April. I mean I feel AEW is at there limit even though I love to see some of them there, but NWA, MLW, and Impact could really gain a lot from this talent wise. Sinclair didn't do themselves any favors with jacking of the prices for there networks rights. Pretty sure not getting any money from Sling TV, Youtube TV, Dish Network, and Hulu. Since instead of paying up, they all said good bye. Yeah losing major outlets to have there networks seen did them no favors and ignoring it for 2 plus years they nobody was caving in.

It sounds like a shutdown until April to re-structure and then come back when they have funds in order? That's what I hope it'd be anyway
Issue is if they want a majority of their talent back if and when they come back for the April show... it's probably going to need to be flexible deals. Especially if a majority of them sign elsewhere and not WWE. AEW/Impact/NWA/NJPW/MLW are definitely gonna be making some calls to a lot of these talents. A lot of them I'd hope can make footholds in the Indies and be ok until otherwise. It breaks my heart to see guys like Ultramantis Black and Incoherence come back and get a bigger platform only for this to happen. Someone give these guys more of a shot immediately!
Danhausen is gonna go immediately to AEW if I'm thinking of any talent who immediately would. Bandito and Dragon Lee might finally just show up with Andrade too. I would love to see some of the women that were being showcased also end up with Impact or NWA or AEW. Whoever ends up with Max the Impaler is very lucky.
I hope for the best. I hope everyone continues to find work with the pandemic restrictions lessening by the months. This is both a sudden shock to the system of wrestling to see all this talent suddenly going to be cast out into the wild at Final Battle... but I hope it has more happy endings than not when all is said and done.

They things sound more cryptic than they did a few hours ago.
ROH has been one of my favorite companies over the past two years. Id really hate to see it go.
This sounds like more of a WCW thing where a conglomerate says well this part of the company either needs to be restructured or gotten rid of.

Impact outlived ROH. Just crazy. Leave the memories alone. Boys, girls, those that fall into both or neither and all other groups I failed to mention. I need joy rn so tell me your favorite ROH moments. Let’s have a bit of happiness through this news. Aries beating Joe. And just Joe’s reign really. And introducing me to Punk. f***, now I’m just sad.

That's what I hope it'd be anyway If the first step to restructuring is to fire the entire roster, "getting funds in order" is the last thing on their mind. These are moves made by Sinclair to liquidate the organization and sell off assets to the highest bidder to recoup losses made by other gambles that failed and nothing more.

Tony Khan needs to make a play for that tape library. I can see WWE going for it, too. Punk, Danielson, Cole, Bucks... there's way too much early stuff from top talent in that company and with talk of a streaming services, they need great content.

The hope would then be that ROH ends up in the hands of someone better than Sinclair. Because people have hated Sinclair owning ROH for awhile now tbh. If the tape library goes up for bids I see Khan going for it hard.

NWA MLW and New Japan need to not eff around here, and get some top tier picks on their rosters.
NWA: - Dalton Castle - Shane Taylor & co - Danhausen (he would fit their YouTube arena better imo)
MLW: - The Briscoes - Kenny King (if only so I never have to see him on my tv) - The Women's division
NJPW: - Dragon Lee - Brody King (Japan loves the hosses)
AEW: - Jay Lethal - John Gresham - RUSH (him + Andrade = Li global)

I wonder if the restructure takes ROH out of syndication and maybe become a full time live show on a streaming service.

I just read Maria’s Twitter post and kinda want to cry. The woman’s tournament was really one of the highlights of this year in all of wrestling.

That Maria tweet broke my heart. After years of the Women of Honor being treated as a joke (another casualty of Bully Ray's disastrous run as one of the head bookers), the tournament was a sign that they were ready to take it seriously again. I think that's also around the time they renamed the Women's Championship to Women's World Championship, joining NWA and AEW in considering their women's title a world championship in name.

So who walks out of Final Battle as champions? The people most likely to be available in April? ROH World Champion: Matt Taven ROH TV Champion: Delirious ROH Pure Champion: Jay Lethal ROH Tag Team Champions: Delirious & Matt Taven ROH Six Man Champions: Delirious, Matt Taven, & Jay Lethal ROH Women's Champion: Velvet Sky (returning)

This is awfully scary to read right now.
I was maybe a casual fan of ROH at the most (I was interested in them in their early Sinclair run and with the recent NJPW partnership), but it’s never good to read about any major promotion in this level of danger. I get the wrestling landscape is in a heavy flux period now, still I’d rather have as many avenues (especially one with a long legacy) for talent as possible to explore.

I've been an ROH fan off and on for the past 17 years. This news hit like a gut-punch. I'll be so sad if this really is the end. I'm already sad seeing folks posting they're open for bookings. I mean, absolutely, get out there and make that money, but still.

I haven't followed ROH closely for a while but here are some of the moments I got to see live: -Glory By Honor 3 (Mick Foley's debut, Danielson vs. Shelley, Aries vs. Punk, Joe vs. Doug Williams) -Weekend of Thunder Night 2 (Jushin Liger teaming with Joe vs. Low-Ki/Danielson) -All Star Extravangza 3 (Joe vs. Punk 3) -Final Battle 2004 (Aries beats Joe for the ROH Title) -Death Before Dishonor 3 (Punk wins ROH Title) -Joe vs. Kobashi -Glory By Honor 5 Night 2 (KENTA vs. Danielson)

I've been listening to the thROH the years podcast the last few weeks and it's made me really nostalgic for early RoH. The glory 2003-7 period of ROH is some of the best wrestling showds in history. Still have a bunch of dvds I ordered as a teenager sitting at my mums. Gonna have to go pick them up.
While the company isn't what the same company now, this is really sad news for everyone involved.
