Honestly doing right by their talent and paying them unconditionally through the pandemic is what might have done them in. It's an honourable way to go out if nothing else.

So who walks out of Final Battle as champions? The people most likely to be available in April? ROH World Champion: Matt Taven ROH TV Champion: Delirious ROH Pure Champion: Jay Lethal ROH Tag Team Champions: Delirious & Matt Taven ROH Six Man Champions: Delirious, Matt Taven, & Jay Lethal ROH Women's Champion: Velvet Sky (returning) I feel like an asshole for liking this but I couldn't resist. And for people talking about the tape library, honestly if I was Sinclair I wouldn't even bother selling it. If they want cheap, filler programming, they can't do much better then re-running classic matches featuring some of the biggest names that pro wrestling has seen over the last twenty years.

So AEW will absolute put out the feelers for Gresham, Lethal, Rush & Bandido. You'd imagine that Black will put in a word for Brodie King and I'd be all for AEW signing Adam Brooks as their first Australian talent. It'll be interesting with Danhausen as he's a fun gimmick but I feel that signing him to a larger stage would potentially expose him.

Very sad to hear,i imagine a lot of talent will be picked up by impact and AEW especially the women,NXT would have been all over this a year ago but I can't see WWE being interested in anyone at all there now.

It would be a one-off as a reminder of the Women of Honor days when Bully Ray wanted to just do the Beautiful People over and over again.

The Honorable Ring had quite the run.
Gave the world Samoa Joe, Homicide, Adam Cole, Adam Page, Bryan Danielson, Seth Rollins, Nigel McGuinness, Claudio, Colt Cabana, Christopher Daniels, Jay Lethal, Paul London...

A lot of great memories with ROH & sad to see this happen. If it means the current roster ends up getting better deals in other companies, I'm happy for them. I hate to say that I pretty much forget about them these days with so much AEW & WWE programming, Impact and New Japan. Hope everyone lands on their feet.

Thinking about all the talent over the years who made an impression in ROH and went on to bigger, better things.
CM Punk Samoa Joe AJ Styles Christopher Daniels Seth Rollins Bryan Danielson Nigel McGuinness Adam Cole Roderick Strong Kyle O'Reilly Bobby Fish Colt Cabana Jamie Noble Homicide Kevin Steen Sami Zayn Cesaro Eddie Edwards Young Bucks Adam Page
And many more, still. And that's not including their international partnerships.
ECW's reputation and legacy tends to be lionized IMO by both WWE and the ECW faithful. But ROH? Without ROH, wrestling is fundamentally different, and worse off, without it. ROH's legacy lives up to the hype.

Eagerly awaits VINCENT’S decision. The last episode ended with The Righteous joining the Gang Warz They have really grown me. I was looking forwarded to them fighting VLNCE Unlimited. Just a bunch of big freaky dudes fighting each other.,

Damn, end of an era. Shoutout to them for still paying people in a rough time as I didn't expect that.
As for where talent goes, well, Shane Taylor and his dudes, AEW gotta do what it do. That's all I'll say about that.

By the way, has any wrestling company done this before? Released the whole roster while still technically continue to exist?

So I'm of two minds on this. It sucks to see one of, if not the most, influential promotions of this millennium hit this trouble spot, but I'm also excited to see what other avenues open up for some of these folks now that their contracts have opened for the first time in a long time.
If I'm Sinclair, what I do next depends on what I think the likelihood of a successful relaunch is. First, if we are coming back, tape library can't be sold. It is easily the most valuable thing you have and the most valuable tape library that could be purchased since the 2001 monopoly period.
The IP may not be worth much, but if you licensed it to like GCW for them to put on ROH shows a la their Bloodsport events with the code, pure rules, etc and Sinclair rebrand this new idea as a new company,I think that's a win for most.
An interesting time for sure
