Unfortunately, if someone does step up to build a new promotion, it'll be dome from the ashes of ROH, rather than be an attempt to rebuild them. Khan proved it's better to build from scratch than throw money at a company that has already plateau'd and inherit all their preconceived notions in the eyes of fans as well as all their backstage issues. Let's not kid ourselves, ROH has been a poopshow backstage for a good long while now, and when new horror stories emerge about the old regime, the new people you put in place are still deemed guilty by association even if they weren't there at the time. Ask Impact about that, they replaced just about everyone and they still deal with Dixie era baggage.

Just for clarification's sake, 411 cropped off a few zeroes and those figure are 12 and 8 billion. They're in the kind of debt they probably aren't digging out of, so expect a station firesale and ROH just being shut entirely in the next two or three years.
They're also facing being strong-armed by MLB into giving up the local blackouts on baseball so their sports service may become entirely worthless.

Yeah that makes more sense. 12-8 Million is nothing to a company that size.

Thank you for this clarification, I had been mulling over whether to ask about that. I kept looking at those numbers and thinking they didn't look apocalyptic, and wondering if I was missing some simple knowledge about large company financials.

All these photos from the last tv tapings are really sad. I cant even imagine what the talent and staff feel like at the moment.

I was the same, those figures looked like a small turnover for a small group of channels, tiny for dozens of them. That kind of debt is unsustainable.

I knew he lived in town and he likes to hang out in parks and sporting events. I always joked I'd run into him eventually, well it finally happened. He was a super cool guy. "Hey Dalton Castle! I just wanted to say your one of my favorite wrestlers!" "Who's your favorite? Danhausen?" "Actually yes." Then I told him how my he's my third favorite, but Danhausen and Mance Warner now have broken legs and he got bumped up to first for active wrestlers at the moment. I said "maybe I'll see you in Ring of Honor." We both shook our heads and he jokingly said "probably not."

Good episode and great to see them back to live action but it was a bit surreal to hear them talk about future opportunities knowing that we don't know what the future holds and those wrestlers might not be around; as well as ROH.
I do love the Mecca Brian Johnson on commentary.
Can't wait to see Caprice in the ring next week.

Not the first soon-to-be ex-ROH talent tweeting booking info, but the first I've seen going the thirst trap route in the process. Someone please book this man.
...seriously, someone else with a national-reaching TV show, please book Bateman so I can watch him more often. I've followed him since his early CWFH days. Dude's fantastic.

Good show of how f***ed Sinclair is is that last year they had losses for the quarter of $3.256 billion last year, and then this year was a gain of $19 million. That isn't remotely proportionate and cannot even begin to cover the kind of trouble they're having.

They thought they'd be able to buy/ merge/bribe their way into being a monopoly for local Tv in much of America. Now they're in a huge hole financially, in a dying industry with few friends in office after the 'must run' segments of the past few years.

They legit thought that regional sports networks were the future that they put it all on the line, and this is all they have to show for it.

Given that Jay Lethal ended up in AEW and he was pretty much a ROH lifer in my head, you might as well close the doors on this place.

Even if ROH somehow recovered, Lethal had done everything there is to do there.
Not surprised if he wanted a change of scenery

At the last ROH PPV, Lethal did this really strange promo about how great of a future ROH has and all this good talent, yet less than 2 months later he's the first big name to abandon ship
Very telling sign about the overall future of this company

I wouldn't count ROH out because lethal left, we said the same when Abyss, Borash and others left Impact, after all. I still see them being closed and sold piecemeal, with the library going one way and the company, trademarks and it's physical asseta going another way, off to some Corgan style money mark who'll keep it going for a couple of years.
