of course Everton draws Man City! UGH! Well, to win it, they were probably going to have to face them at some point, so better to get it out of the way now.

I will preface this by saying that United didn’t play well enough to win today, but the officiating made no sense at all.
Diagne literally raked Lindelof’s eyes as he pushed off him to score the Baggies’ goal and somehow that didn’t merit a VAR check. Jim Beglin, defending it as a good goal, said that Lindelof was “outwrestled” for the ball, not realizing that he’s proving why it should have been a foul.
Later, Maguire is awarded a penalty for going down in the area. The replay shows him to be offside. Surely, VAR will spot that and rescind the penalty. Amazingly, it does not even check for offside and instead rules no foul. The entire play is ruled moot by the offside, but since that wasn’t even checked for and you determined there not to be any foul, then surely you have to book Maguire for a dive?
Then in stoppage, Diagne hauls down Maguire to get in alone on De Gea and somehow misses what surely would have been a winner. But Craig Pawson decided that pulling down a defender is not a foul.
It’s just impossible to know what referees are even looking at anymore.

Everton had 3 games in hand over Liverpool before today so the Champions League is there’s for the taking.
Didn't fancy it then obviously. Still 2 games in hand so you never know.
Man U proved today they don’t have the temperament yet to win a league title.
But the biggest story is surely Aubameyang scoring a hat trick! Good to see him back in form. Leeds again prove good value to watch but defensively easy to get at.

I have a few bets on Leicester. Win e/w (up to £200), win without city or Liverpool (£15) and top 4.
I can cash out top 4 for £35ish. It's £70 back if it wins at the end. Could also just cash out on part of it.
Would you cash out? It's all profit if it makes a difference as the bets were all placed with winnings from free bets.
On the one hand lots of teams are within touching distance, on the other I cants see Leicester dropping out again.

I think the big danger is Chelsea gaining more momentum under Tuchel and if the Scousers start winning again soon at the same time to put Leicester 5th, but there's enough of a gap to allow a hiccup here or there provided you think Leicester will continue to pick up wins. If there's more than 2 games where you think they'll drop points, then maybe cash it in if its all profit anyway!! Only bet I have running is Sheffield Utd to get relegated (5/2 before the season started), think everything else is a bust this season.

So David Moyes for Manager of the Year? It's a good option to be fair. I honestly thought he would be the first Prem manager sacked this season.

Moyes would be the front runner for me though I can’t deny Guardiola doesn’t deserve it considering he seems to have fixed the defensive problems that plagued Man City last season and turned Gündogan into a goal machine.
Dean Smith at Villa deserves a shout too they have vastly improved from last year and made some excellent signings.

MOTY depends on how many trophies Man City end up with. If they win two or three trophies, it’ll be hard to argue against Guardiola.

Not sure that was ever a penalty for Everton and the Ref didn’t exactly study it for long. Doesn’t really change the fact that Liverpool were poor again. And now we’ve lost another player to injury.

I'm genuinely wondering how an attacker can fall over a defender who is almost flat on his back and it be a foul. Never a penalty in my eyes, but at this point I'm starting to doubt I understand whatever rules referees are asked to enforce. But you're right, it was another bad performance. The wheels fell off Liverpool's season weeks ago, and now the brakes aren't working. Villa, Spurs, and Arsenal are breathing down their necks and all with games in hand, so the possibility of not even qualifying for Europe can't be ruled out.

Arsenal’s next 2 league games are Man City & Leicester. We aren’t breathing down anyone’s neck! Also Man City are now 16 points clear of Liverpool with a game in hand. Quite the reversal after being so far behind Liverpool last season.

Lately the story of Arsenal's season feels like they're winning games they should lose and losing games they should win. Plus beating those two would do United a favour, so I'll be firmly in the Gunners camp for the next two games!

Liverpool will be lucky to finish in the top half. Even with injuries taken into account, the attitude of the players has been pitiful. They show very little fight or motivation to change what they are doing.

I don’t understand what TAA was supposed to do there. He makes an attempt to play the ball and he’s already on the ground. DCL initiates contact with a downed player and falls over. Of course there was contact, but it was because Calvert-Lewin tripped over Alexander-Arnold. He literally kneed him in the back of the head.

I mean I’m kinda happy we only lost 1 nil to Man City but I can’t help thinking Arsenal missed an opportunity if they just had a go. But then if we opened up more maybe we would have got thrashed.
Newcastle in real trouble now only 3 points above the bottom 3. Fulham have done well to give themselves a chance of survival. Newcastle looking at possibly a 3rd relegation under Mike Ashley. Ridiculous.
